New York City Facts

The Five Boroughs
New York City has five boroughs: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island They are linked by a series of bridges, tunnels, and ferries. Manhattan is an island and the center of New York City. It is 13.4 miles long and 2.3 miles at its widest. Except at its southern and northern tips, it has avenues that run north and south, and streets that run east and west.
