The C3NY workshop was an incredible experience - there isn’t a better team of teachers for Step 2CS preparation than Dr Swartz, Ms Lank and the SPs in New York. Day 3 was certainly my favourite - learning to handle challenging SPs, thinking outside the box for various clinical scenarios, and practising typing up patient notes put me in good stead for the exam. However, more than anything, the C3NY workshop has taught me valuable communication skills that I have put in my everyday practice of medicine. Dr Swartz, Ms Lank and the SPs do not just teach you how to be a good Step 2CS candidate - they show you the way to becoming a culturally-aware, empathetic, and exceptional doctor. Finally, the C3NY workshop is a lesson in American culture that every international medical student/graduate will value, as it forms the core of the Step 2CS exam and ultimately residency in the United States. Many thanks to Dr Swartz, Ms Lank and the SPs for a truly eye-opening learning experience in New York.

I was in your Sept 2004 CSA class in Chicago …… I went in there (to the exam) and honestly did everything I remember we went over in class….. At the end of the day I seriously thought I failed that exam soooo bad…. It is Jan 20th today and two days ago I received my CSA score. I passed with flying colors. I just wanted to let you know that you were ABSOLUTELY right and if there are any students or doubters out there let me be the proof —–> “just do as he tells you and you will be fine”.
Forever grateful to your course.

Dear Dr. Swartz, Anna, Ginny:
I PASSED my CS exam, & I am very grateful to Dr. Swartz & all of you for an unforgettable experience that gave me confidence and excellent outcome.
The exam was really very stressful , but with each patient I felt Dr. Swartz’s presence in the room. I followed all his detailed advises, how to enter, where to stand, smile, be at the same level OR lower than the patient, where to keep hands, how to write notes, wash hands, cover the patient, drape him……all, all his words ……all of them are very, extremely are important!!!!! They helped me A LOT!!!!
I strongly recommend to all CS takers to take this short but very IMPORTANT workshop course.
Even if you feel ready after reading all textbooks, C3NY polishes your knowledge and gives you confidence, calms anxiety, and takes away stress.
Thanks a lot for all your work; you are doing a great job!
Elena Pogosian. M.D., Armenia
Thank you Anna and Dr.Swartz. I did pass the step 2 CS in December 2007.
Dr. Karapetyan, Armenia
Dear Dr. Swartz!!!!
Hope you are doing fine. I took the classes in January. My name is Irina Azaryan, and I am from Armenia.
My exam was on first of March, and I got the results yesterday. So I passed!!!!! and I am so happy. I am done.
After the workship, I studied a lot on Skype with other members of the workshop, and that also helped.
Thank you very much for your workshop; it was really helpful. It definitely increased my confidence level.
Now I have to apply for residency and hope to get something.
Again thank you very much!
Best regards,

Dear Dr. Swartz,
How are you? I hope you remember me from the April workshop. I just wanted to let you know that I passed the CS exam! Thank you so much for all your help, not just during the workshop but also afterwards over email. Please thank Ms. Lank and all the SPs on my behalf for all their help.
I had a wonderful time at the workshop, and I am so glad I went! It was an honor to meet you and to be taught by you. Keep up the great work at C3NY!
Zareen Ahmed, M.D., Bangladesh
Dear Ms. Lank,
I passed CS! I was a March 08 participant.
In the short span of three days, C3NY offers the most essential elements one needs to learn to pass Step 2CS, as well as to practice clinical medicine in the coming years in the USA. The course offered me an approach to the patient which was very logical, yet within the known format. The spectrum of presentation of the clinical encounters was wide. It helped me get out of the tunnel vision and look at the clinical problems with an open perspective which is perhaps the most important element of clinical practice. I felt a personalized care throughout the course.
I would like to thank Dr Swartz and you very much, and hope the program grows more and more.
K. Hassan, M.D., Bangladesh
Hello Dr. Swartz, Ms. Lank, and staff of C3NY,
I took the C3NY Workshop this past February, and I took the CS Exam two weeks later in Philadelphia.
I just found out that I passed!
I would like to thank all of you, especially you Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank, for all of your help, guidance, and support during the Workshop and prior to the Exam. Everything I learned not only helped me to pass, but will also help me become the best physician I can be in the future.
I’m looking forward to starting residency training this July. Thank you very much, and I wish all of you the best!
Jamil Shah, Bangladesh
Hi,
I passed the exam!!!! Thank you all for helping me out. I greatly appreciate Dr. Swartz’s effort. Your course helped me to prepare for the exam. Especially the last day of the workshop simulating the exam with standardized patients was a great help.
Thank you all again. Take care.
Bye.
Asma Islam, M.D., Bangladesh
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I have passed! I am thankful to you and your team. I was in Feb’07 workshop and took the exam in March.
The workshop was really very helpful for me. Your guidance helped me a lot to communicate with the patients in the right way and to pass the exam. If I did not join your workshop, I wouldn’t have cleared the step 2 cs exam.
You are a great teacher, Dr. Swartz! Your SPs are also great and take their task seriously to make us perfect. I thank them also from my heart. The lesson what I got from your workshop is one of the best lessons in my life. I wish success of your team in every step.
Papiya Begum, M.D., Bangladesh
Hello Dr. Swartz, Anna Lank, & all the SP’s.
First I need to thank you all for my success. I passed on first attempt & my center was in Atlanta.
Thanks again!
Mita Chowdhury, M.D., Bangladesh
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I passed!
As you know, this was my second attempt, and I was very apprehensive about the exam. I was lucky to get into the workshop (October 2012), and it made all the difference.
Before the workshop, my understanding of the exam was practice, read First Aid, and follow the mnemonics (which definitely didn’t work! I know it in person!), and after the workshop it was so different. Specially the lines you keep mentioning over and over: don’t assume anything, follow the patient’s leads, and a big “NO NO” to any mnemonics.
I am overwhelmed with joy, and it was all possible because of the C3NY workshop and C3NY family (Anna, Paul, and all the other SP’s ).

Dear Dr. Swartz, Ms. Lank and C3NY team,
I received my score report today. After I saw “PASS” on my laptop screen, the first thought that came to my mind was you and your workshop. I don’t know how to thank you all enough. But I want to definitely say this, C3NY is an amazing workshop. I could not have passed this exam without your guidance.
Thank you Dr.Swartz for being an amazing teacher and for all the inspiration.
Thank you Ms.Lank for all the wonderful tips and especially the deep breathing exercise.
Thank you to all the SPs for their valuable feedback.
For the future Step 2 CS examinees, I want to simply say this: C3NY is the best place to start your preparation and ace this exam. Trust me!
May God bless you all.
With best regards,

Hi Anna and C3NY,
This is Chintav Shah. Just got my Step 2CS result and I passed with high performance in all the sections.
I would like to thank C3NY for your help and guide which helped me immensely in my prep and gave me insight to the CS exam.
Dr Mark Swartz was amazing, and he has some amazing insight to this exam. I am really happy and again thank you so much. And those Skype sessions with Paul were really great: that something which is best to practice and affordable.
Very respectfully,
Chintav Shah, MD, India
Good morning Dr. Swartz!

I wanted to thank you, Anna, and all the SPs for the workshop ; I was in the April 2016 group. It immensely helped my CIS component of the CS exam, which is particularly difficult for a foreign medical student who is not accustomed to the “American ways” of doing things.

I am elated to inform you that I passed the CS exam!

Thank you all very much!

Best regards,
Snigdha Yeramareddy, MD, India
Dear Dr. Swartz,

I hope you and Ms. Lank are doing well.

My husband, Janpreet, and I both learned today that we have passed Step 2CS!

We are thankful to you and your whole team.

It was only because of C3NY that we made it. We were both in the January 2015 New York Workshop.

With kind regards,
Baldeep Kaur Mann, MD, India

Nisha Kadri, MD, India, Video Testimonial

Dear Ms. Lank and Dr. Swartz,
I hope everybody is doing well at C3NY. I was the Indian student who took your course in September. I took the exam about 3 weeks after the course in Houston. I learned today that I passed with all scores in the upper end of the High performance.
It seems my problem was just performance anxiety. After being in your class and interacting with the SPs, I later felt much more comfortable in conversing with them. I didn’t feel the anxiety of being graded. As you’ve mentioned before, Step 2CS is a communications exam. For the first time this exam, I acted completely normal, as I would when I was a medical student. I completely forgot about it being graded.
Anyways, I wanted to thank you guys so much. I’ve realized more so now that this exam isn’t hard by any measure. It’s just that there is so much misinformation spread around that greatly negatively affects people’s scores that you guys do a great job of clearing up. I’ve recommended this course whole hardheartedly to all of my friends and underclassmen.
With regards,
Sai Kumar, MD, India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I’ve just received my results, and I passed Step 2-CS.
The workshops were a very intensive 3 day program where I learned how to interview and examine a patient in 15 minutes. It was very focused learning. I have been able to practice it when I see my real patients in real life. It works. Thanks for all your help. I feel I am a better doctor already.

To Dr. Mark Swartz
Respected Sir,
Long time back, I read a famous quotation. It was “a good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others”. There can never be a better way of describing your teaching at the workshop.
In the middle of May, I landed in US with fear and apprehension about Step 2 CS. But things changed after I started attending your workshop in the third week of May. You gave a lucid and clear idea about the exam and also the ways to achieve success.
I took the exam on 3rd June in LA with gusto and confidence. All’s well that ends well. I passed. I have no words to express my gratitude for the contribution you have for helping me to pass the exam. I will also take this opportunity to thank all the SPs for their critical comments in helping to improve the performance of all the exam-takers including me who had joined the workshop. I also thank Anna and Ginny for their help.
Nothing succeeds like success. With reverence, I write “SIR THANK YOU VERY MUCH” because the “Fearful trip is done…… and the prize I sought is won”.
May God Bless you and everyone in the workshop. I sincerely hope the hard work and effort you are putting in, will bring you more and more success in the days to come.
Bye
Arindam Biswas, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
I want to thank you and Dr. Swartz for the inspiration and motivation. Yesterday I received my result of Step 2CS… I have cleared my exam. I was in your April/May program and took my exam in Atlanta.
On the day of exam I was very nervous, because I was taking this exam for the 2nd time. But then I remembered your words,” take a deep breath”.
Again thanks to all of you and wish you success in your C3NY workshops.
Baljit Walia, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I just found out that I passed the Step 2CS Exam.
As you already know, I took CS at Houston two weeks after I took your workshop in May. I definitely went to the exam with lots of confidence and clear concepts about how to deal with different SP’s. I definitely benefitted from the workshop and I will highly recommend your workshop to all my friends.
I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank you and the rest of the team at C3NY.
Shirisha C., India
Good morning. First of all thanks a ton to Ms. Anna Lank and Dr. Mark Swartz for that great clinical workshop. I was in your July workshop and I took my exam in Philadelphia on 8th August 2005. I just got my score today that I passed my exam.
I want to tell you something: Dr. Swartz you are really a great teacher not just because you teach well but I was so much impressed by this that how much you worked hard on us like from your heart you want everybody to understand everything and pass the step-2cs exam. I really appreciate that. You worked very hard with us.
Thanks a lot again, and I wish good luck to everybody who already attended or will attend your workshop.
Ajay Kumar, M.D., India
Dearest Dr. Swartz,
I have some Good News for you. I just checked my Oasis and they indicated that I HAVE PASSED…..And I cannot thank you enough for that Sir!!!
But passing the Step 2-CS is the least impact that you have made in my life as a doctor. After your class I have undergone tremendous changes as a clinician and I am dying to apply those when starting my residency next year.
I consider myself so lucky to have attended this workshop. As soon as the workshop started, I thought that it was going to be an extraordinary program, but after the first 2 hours on the day one, I thought that this workshop is definitely going to change the way I am going to practice medicine for the rest of my life. Considering that medicine is my life, this workshop is going to change my life.
I suddenly realized that I was until now learning and practicing the “Science” of Medicine when in fact Medicine is more of an “Art”. In order to be a good doctor, I have to learn the Art of Medicine as well. And as I paint a lot, I know that you cannot learn art from text you have to study with a master. Dr. Swartz, I must say that you are a master.
Please thank Anna on my behalf. Her breathing technique was so effective…and plus her suggestions with the name and all other comments…and also thanks to all the SPs for all their help….
I would recommend your course not only to all Step 2-CS examinees but also to anyone who wants to become a Good Doctor.
It was my honor and extremely good fortune to have met you and have had an opportunity to learn from you….I hope I can keep learning from you in the future…..
Thank You once again
Sharvil Sheth, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz, Ginny, and Anna,
My name is Dr. Kalpesh Patel. I attended your workshops in August 2005. I took my exam on 6 September in Philadelphia, and today I got my result…I PASSED the exam!
I am really thankful to all three of you who really helped me and many others in passing this exam. All of you took your personal interest in our preparation and that is what I liked most about your classes. Since the patients in the actual Step 2-CS exam were not as tough as in the workshops, as Dr. Swartz told us, the exam looked easy to me since I was well prepared for the “tough ones” by you guys. Once again thank you very much for your help, and I really really appreciate everything that you are doing for the IMGs.
Dr. Kalpesh Patel, India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Ms. Ginny, and Ms. Lank,
I am glad to inform you that I took Step 2 CS in Philly on September 6, and I PASSED!!
I attended the C3NY workshops in August 2005. It was fun learning from all of you, and I must say it really helped me as whenever I knocked on the door, I expected Mary Smith to be there! All the encounters went well. Thanks to Dr. Swartz, Anna, Ginny, and my workshop colleagues, Kalpesh, Muktak, Anant, Monica, Pratibha, Amna, Shivani and a long list…..who practiced with me as a group. I cannot forget Anna saying “BREATHE…….” which I did after I finished every encounter.
I really enjoyed learning as well the lesiure time in New York. Believe me before coming to New York I didn’t touch any book, and after the workshop was over me and Kalpesh, whom I met for the first time only at the workshop, practiced for about 15 days before appearing for Step 2 CS.
Thank you all once again!
Wish all my colleagues sucess in Residency Match Program,
Wish C3NY great success and a brilliant future.
Lalit Kalra, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Anna, and Ginny,
I don’t know how to express in words what I’m feeling right now. I just got the results for my CSA, and I cleared it!
The first thought that came to my mind after thanking God and my husband was that I could have never done it without C3NY. Taking this course was the best decision I have ever made. It changed my whole perspective towards the exam. I still remember the way we had been taught how to introduce ourselves. It seemed a little unbelievable at that time but when I took the exam, it came home how much difference that really made. The simple sentence that I picked up from Dr. Swartz during one of his classes about asking the patient first thing after introducing “Are you comfortable sitting or would you rather lie down” always drew a warm response from my patients. I now realize that this exam is all about these simple things only, and the ones we could miss out so easily without the proper training.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for helping me and bringing me one step closer to my aim.
I wish C3NY all the success, and may you help so many others like me.
Kamna Jaiswal, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I just got my results after a long 2 months wait and I PASSED!!
I am thankful to God that I took the C3NY workshop which didn’t just serve as a channel for knowledge but also a way to improve one’s confidence, positivity and inner strength. Initially I was not too sure of clearing this exam as I had not given my step 2 CK. But after the 3rd day of the workshop I was self assured that I will pass the test!!
C3NY teaches us that CS is not merely knowing medicine but is more about how to make your patient feel comfortable and warm in a doctor’s presence!! Simply, things like smile, confidence, asking the patient how he feels and so on are of paramount importance… more than just one’s medical knowledge.
My test overall went pretty good as just before the test I remembered a few of these simple tips which we were taught and Anna’s deep breathing tips!..which works like magic Anna!!
And most importantly the what I call “Hidden truth of the doorway information” which was so true since 5 out of my 12 cases where totally ambiguous and had absolute no connection with the provided doorway information; that’s when I remembered you Dr. Swartz and knew its more important to “Listen to the SP than asking questions. ”
Thanks a lot once again!.. I will never forget these simple but sweet medical art of patient dealing!!. C3NY rules!!
Dr. Pradnya Shirsolkar (Rhea), India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I am highly excited to convey to you and all IMGs that I passed Step 2-CS! I now join your CLUB! What a relaxing moment!!!!! I took your workshops in September. They were outstanding. I learned so much about the exam and about how to practice in the USA. It was just what all IMGs need to pass the exam. I will recommend it to everyone taking the exam!!!!!
Long Live C3NY!
Thanks you so much Sir!
Braj N. Singh, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz, Anna, and Ginny,
A very Happy New Year to everybody at C3NY.
Finally, I got the most precious mail ever, i.e. the result of my step2 CS, and it said PASSED!!!!!
I hope you all remember me 97 I was 7 months into my pregnancy when I attended the workshop in August. And there is one another good news too97I had a baby girl on the 17th of October 2005. We have named her Eira.
I was very happy on reading the results of my workshop colleagues 97 Pratibha, Kamna, Shabbar Sajjad, Lalit, Shweta, Kalpesh. I would like to thank everyone who practiced with me on the 3rd day, and I think that was the thing that clicked as that practice session made me realize my weaknesses. And on the test day, Dr. Swartz’s words were echoing in my ears again and again as if he is standing right behind me and telling me what to do next. He taught us in such systematic way that you can’t forget ever what the sequence in the examination and history taking is.
I think it was the best decision I ever took in my life to join C3NY classes.
All the best to everyone at C3NY for all future ventures. May you reach the topmost level possible!! Thanks once again.
Dr. Shivani Sharma, India
Hi Dr Swartz and Ms. Anna,
I am sorry for this late reply. I have passed step 2CS last month.
Thank you very much for your great guidance. You know I was so upset when I have took step 2CS: 4 cases were terrible, but I just followed the communication skills you taught me and all of Dr. Swartz’s rules and I did it…. I now realize that this exam is only communication and good bedside manner….only a little bit of medical knowledge (only for diagnosis)…. thank you very much once again.
Take care, Bye
Jayesh Patel, M.D., India
Hi Anna,
I just received my letter, and I cleared the exam!
It is a unique examination. I liked the physical examination part and standardized patient cases of your course. I got to know about few people from your course with whom I practiced after the workshops. That was also very useful. Anna, one has to be confident about what they are doing in the exam, and present themselves well. So practice, practice, practice and more practice. Your course gives good orientation. Since it is only a three day course, no one should expect to learn all medicine within those three days. After attending your course, everyone should go back and practice seriously for two to three weeks. I also read USMLE World and First Aid for Step2-CS. The worst part of this exam is that, you have to wait so long to get the result, and you are not sure how well you did in the exam.
I would recommend your course to everybody who is taking this exam after little bit of preparation. They should also form groups and practice.
One again thank you, Dr. Swartz and awesome Ginny.
Prem Konakondla, M.D., India
Hi Anna,
How are you? I took exam on March 9th at Atlanta. I passed the exam and got my result on 24th May.
Thanks a lot. Please say thanks to Dr. Swartz also. Words can’t say my thanks enough to him. I failed the CS exam the first time. Thank GOD because of you both I passed.
Thanks again
Bye.
Vijayasimha R. Pothula, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
Hope all is well with you. I am doing fine.
I gave my exam last month, and I just learned that I passed. Your workshops were very helpful to me. They gave me the confidence to face the exam which is an important part of the preparation.
I appreciate your efforts and wish all success in your future endeavors.
Shilpa Mikkilineni, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I got the Step2CS score report today and………I passed.
Actually the exam was fun after your course. I attended your course on April 24, 25, 26, and I flew to Atlanta that evening and took the exam on 28th. It didn’t feel like I was taking an exam; it was fun. Thanks a lot for making me feel so well at the exam.
Thanking you once again.
Surjith Vattoth, MBBS, MD, DMRD, DNB, PDCC, FRCR, India
Hello Dr. Swartz, Anna, and everyone from the March C3NY Workshop,
I took my Step 2CS at Houston in May & passed it with all of your help. Sorry for informing so late…I got my results by end of June.
Dr. Swartz, when I came to C3NY, I had no idea how the exam would be. Everybody seemed to have prepared for the exam before they came for the course, & I felt lost on the first day. C3NY gave me the confidence & the right guidance which other books or materials would not have given me. I did use USMLE World, & it helped also…but it would not be the same without the C3NY workshops.
Thank you once again!
Swapna Chenna, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Anna and all the SP’S,
I took your course in June 2006; took the exam in July in Philadelphia , and I got my results a couple of days back – and I passed!!
Thank you all so much for all your help and feedback. The entire experience was very positive and really helped me iron out all the glitches in my preparation.
Once again, thank you.
Shalini Ramachandran, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I am Dr. Miten Amin from the July 2006 Step 2CS workshop. I took CS on 7th August in Chicago, and I am so happy to tell you that I passed.
Same thing happened as you told us. I felt terrible when I got out of exam: I was thinking about what I missed. But fortunately I followed patient’s direction and kept asking question according to his/her response. And I will tell everybody that it really works.
Thank you very much for your help.
Special thanks to your standardized patients.
Miten Amin, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
C3NY definitely helped me pass my exam. You prepared us so well, that I was ready to handle any clinical case, not just a few.
I knew what to ask for history, what to look for on the physical, how to close the encounter in routine and in case of emergency, so It was great relief. Though I made few mistakes in the exam, C3NY gave me the confidence that I would really do fine. This is really important especially for IMGs.
Dr Swartz, you are really a “GURU”. My special thanks to all the SPs. and Anna Lank.
Thank you again very much. Take care.
Neha Shah, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
Firstly I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me pass the clinical skills examination which I took on the 20th of January 2007. This was my second attempt, and I was so scared to take the exam before I joined the December workshop. The workshops helped me to walk into the exam with great confidence. The tips given by you which were 180 degree opposite to those mentioned in the review books and online courses helped me to take effective history and physical exam on the standardized patients.
I think if had I taken this course for my first attempt I would have passed the exam. It was a great workshop. I made good friends there. Thank you sir for all your help.
Atika Zubera, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I passed! I want to thank you with all my heart because without your guidance I wouldn’t have been able to clear my step 2cs exam.
Joining your workshop was one of my best decisions!
If anybody ever asks me “what do I did I do to clear step2 cs exam? I would just say “Join Dr. Swartz workshop”. You have induced in us confidence, skills and technique to face the exam and to become a doctor in the right sense! When I was taking the exam, I could just recall what you had taught us “don’t use mnemonics, just go in with a clear mind” and that’s what I did!
I want to thank Ms. Anna Lank and all the SP’s who had sincerely taken the effort to see that we learn the right way of communication with the patients!
Thank you Dr.Swartz.
GOD BLESS YOU
Smita Nair, M.D., India
Dear Professor Swartz and Ms. Lank,
Last night I returned from Experimental Biology 2007 meeting at Washington DC, and I found the letter in my mail box from the ECFMG. With a lot of anxiety, I opened it, and found that I passed my step 2 CS. I thank you and your team at C3NY and the friends who attended the workshop with me at C3NY for my success.
Professor Swartz you are the exceptional medical teacher who knows everything about sociocultural, linguistic and academic problems of international medical graduates from across the world. I strongly feel that the clinical skills we learned in your workshop will help not only in passing Step 2 CS, but will continue to help us our future medical career. You are a great teacher of the art and science of clinical methodology.
After attending your workshops, I used only your book “The Ultimate Guide and Review for the USMLE Step 2 Clinical Skills Exam”. With help of the two other IMGs I met at C3NY, we practiced the cases in the book 3 times. The cases in your book are extremely helpful and those who practice them all thoroughly will certainly do well in their clinical encounters in Step 2 CS and in their patient notes. The cases presented in your book are very appropriate and broadly covered all the cases on Step 2 CS.
I once again thank you and your team.
V.S., M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I attended your clinical workshop in April ’07 and gave my USMLE step 2 CS exam in May, and I am extremely happy to let you know that I passed.
I would like to thank you for your impeccable teaching and your guidance which made it very simple for me to go into the exam with confidence. Before coming to your class, I had not read anything for this exam and came to your workshop without any preparations, but doing that helped me the most. As I could assimilate all the information you gave without any difficulty.
I would also like to thank Ms. Lank and all the SPs for the fantastic job they did.
I am really happy I took this course, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone going for this exam.
At the end, again thank you all for the great time I had at your workshop, and I hope you all keep up the good work.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully
Malini Nandi Majumdar, M.D., India
Respected Dr. Swartz,
Dr. Swartz and C3NY, I don’t have enough words for your 3 day course. Dr. Swartz you know the CSA. From clinical skills to interpersonal skills, from personal advise on patient notes to personal constructive critiques, from teaching body language, to ordering our meals. I can not forgot the first day when you yourself purchased a ticket for me to get into the metro as my credit card was being declined constantly.
C3NY is not a center!it is a family, and I am happy to have this new family in my life.
T. S., M.D., India
Dear Dr Swartz and Anna,
I am happy to tell you that I passed.
Your course was very helpful. The SP’s you provided were tougher than the actual exam and that helped a lot.
I have recommended your course to my friends.
Thanks again!
Abhishek Sundaram, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz & the C3NY Team!
Many thanks to all of you for such an excellent workshop in June – I took the exam on the next day (June 22 in Philly). I got the results of Step 2 CS today and I passed!!!
I was pretty nervous about my Patient Note part, thinking that I didn’t do well on that one, but I guess all’s well that ends well! And I am elated on seeing the result

Thanks very much for your kind help in understanding the intricate aspects interviewing a patient, how to show empathy and for lots of tips that you gave. Mr. Richard was great, indeed! Please give my special kudos to him, since I learned a lot from him too.
I would heartily recommend the C3NY program to my friends.
Best regards,
Rakesh Ahuja, MBBS (AIIMS), MD, India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Anna and SPs,
Today, after the more then 2 months waiting, I received the score, and I am very happy to let you know that I passed. I took your workshop in April, 2007 and gave exam on 29th May.
Thank you and your team for helping me to pass the Step 2CS exam. As a FMG, there was so much anxiety related to this exam. Your workshop gave me lots of confidence to approach the patients and the exam, and I think it will also help me in the future. I will remember your message from that picture of the elephant.
Regards and thank you for fantastic job.
Viral Patel, M.D., India
Hi Anna,
Well, I took my Step 2CS exam in Chicago on June 5th, 2007. The centre is easy to find, and the proctors are friendly and cheerful, and that helped me in relieving the tension.
The exam, as such, is long day. But I personally feel that 15 minutes is short a time on some cases, especially the psychiatry cases. The time for patient note was just adequate, maybe if I had a minute or two more I could have written a neat PN. The C3NY workshop helped me in time management, and the tricks on how to “wiggle out of sticky questions and situations”.
Well, I just received my results in the mail, and I have passed.
I wish to thank you, Dr. Swartz and all the SPs; you all were a great help. GOD bless you all.
I will definitely recommend you to my friends who will be taking the exam.
Jaspal S. Hothi, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Anna, and all the C3NY SP’s,
I attended the step 2 cs workshop in July 07; 2 weeks later I took my CS and I just got my result today and I passed.
Dr. Swartz, your teaching is just fantastic, the confidence level that you build in every student who comes for the workshop is just amazing. You guided me so well in the patient encounter, every question I asked the SP, you analyzed and told me my strength and weakness. Thereafter, when I took the actual exam, I was coming out after every encounter very confidently. Anna’s ways of reducing the stress levels also helped a lot. I learned a lot from your SP’s, when we face them during the workshop it’s not easy as they are trained so well, but makes our life so—– easier during the real exam.
Dr. Swartz, I thank you for the excellent teaching, encouragement and all the help
Love to Anna and to all SP’s.
I wish C3NY should open its wings in different places within US, so that more FMG’S will be benefited.
Rajesh Krishnamurthy, M.D., India
Good afternoon Dr Swartz,
I’ve got some terrific news for you!! I just got my CS result and I passed!!!! I’m ecstatic!! I don’t have words to describe the gratitude I feel towards you and the entire C3NY team!
When I came out of the exam centre I knew I had bombed it. But it all turned out extremely well in the end. Looking back I had made quite a few mistakes but I always remembered what you had taught us at the workshop.. proper introduction, be polite, take a good focused history and most importantly for me – don’t come out early!!! Anna’s ‘coffee shop’ technique worked wonders for me as well.
Once again, I don’t have words to describe how indebted I am to you. You are a Godsend Dr Swartz!!
God bless you and thankyou so much once again.
I will stay in touch and will keep you informed regarding the whole match season and Residency process.
Syed Ahmed Hussain, M.D., India
Hi Anna,
My name is Swarajit Ghosh. I just got the results of the step 2 CS online and I passed!
Your course was refreshing, informative and very helpful.
Many thanks to you, Ginny, Dr. Swartz and all the SP’s for preparing us so well! I will most likely use what you taught even during my clinical training.
I will certainly recommend your course to other Step 2CS candidates.
Thanks once again for your insight!
Dr. Swarajit Ghosh, India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I am happy to inform you that I passed CS on 30th January and I really appreciate your help.
I am now certain that Dr. Swartz you are a real master of the standardized patient encounter. I followed everything you said during the coaching and I passed.
The biggest mistake as International Medical Graduates is that we do not understand the motive of the test and who better than you Dr. Swartz can teach it.
I wrote to you many times to clear my doubts about history and physical exam, and you replied to my emails within couple of hours, although you are so busy. I enjoyed C3NY classes very much, the environment was like a family.
I am looking to match this year and will definitely keep C3NY family updated.
Regards to Ms. Lank, she was very helpful. I thank all SP’s of C3NY as well.
May GOD give you long life and happiness.
Your student always,
Ashiq Masood, M.D., India
Respected Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I just got my result 96 I passed!!!
I want to thank both of you and all the SP’s. I paid attention to all that was taught each day and tried to follow it to the minutest details. Before coming to your class I had just given my CK, I didn’t read any book for Step 2CS. Had just gone through forums to see how students prepare for CS. I was very much confused about the exam and had many questions in mind.
But by the end of the 3rd day, I was very much clear in mind about how to go about patients. The small videos that you showed were great help to know what I must not do in exam.
I don’t know if you remember, I was almost in tears before attending the SP I was assigned at C3NY and Anna told me its just like a stage 96 you’ll feel comfortable after you start your conversation-and that’s what happened. I remember that my history was over in 9 minutes, and it felt like my questions to SP were a rapid fire. Dr. Swartz and Anna pointed that out. And I performed exactly opposite to that in real exam- I just went with the flow-keeping in mind elephant eg. given by Dr Swartz.
After attending C3NY I had started practicing with my husband, I had few querries. I e-mailed Dr Swartz and he replied to them within a couple of hours. I am thankful to him. I liked each and every point that he told us in interaction with the patient.
I scored a 99 in CK. I knew theory part but was afraid of patient interaction in this country. Thanks to Dr Swartz and Anna, I made it through this exam.
Maneesha Bangar, M.D., India
Hello Dr Swartz,
I am really happy to inform you that I passed Step 2CS!
Thanks a lot to your whole team of C3NY, for your valuable guidance and support, without which it would have been very difficult for IMGs like me who are not at all familiar with the patient doctor interaction in USA to pass this exam.
All the small advices that you, Anna & your team gave are in reality not at all small. I can judge this best as this was my second attempt. It’s only now I can realize their importance in cracking the exam.
Thank you, Ms. Anna and all the C3NY team again!
Nitin Jain, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I was in your class in the November 2007 workshop. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to let you know that I learned today that I passed the CS exam.
I have previously failed this exam 2 times, in the ICE part both times. I don’t know what happened each time, but this time when I took the exam for the 3rd time in Houston, I just did exactly like what you have told in the class: “JUST TO FOLLOW THE PATIENT’S LEADS”.. that’s all I did differently, and I have passed this time and am now ECFMG certified!
The course was just absolutely fantastic. Thank you, thank you so much. I don’t have words to let you know how thankful I am. Thanks to Anna Lank too who was there most of the time during the classes trying to coordinate and teach us what the SP’s expect from us.
Thank you,
Yours Sincerely
NA, M.D., India
Dear Dr Swartz,
I don’t know if you remember me, I was in your March C3NY class!!
I just wanted to let you know that I got my CS result today. and I passed!!
I had lost in the CIS component the first time!! Let me tell you, I dealt with each patient in an entirely different manner when compared to the first time!! And I stayed in each room the entire 15 minutes!!
Anyways, I’m really glad I got the chance to train with you!! A special thanks to Anna, all the SP’s who were so patient with us.
Keep up the great work!! Hope we meet again!!
Its been a great privilege!!
AC, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank:
Hope you remember me?
I was there in April 2008 batch. I’m happy to inform you that I’ve passed Step 2CS.
I feel that your program was good enough to elaborate examination details and dissect its finer aspects-which are essential to pass the examination. Your feedback about my “faster speech” made me cautious while performing in the examination, and I tried to speak slowly – probably it allowed me to pass in SEP. The breathing technique given by Mrs. Lank was also helpful to relieve apprehension before entering room.
On the whole I recommend this course for everybody.
I convey my gratitude to both of you and all SP’s/C3NY staff.
May God bless C3NY!
Neeraj Lalwani, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
It is with great pleasure that I would like to inform you that I have cleared the Step 2 CS examination.
I took the C3NY course in January 2008 and the CS examination in Atlanta in April 2008. The valuable insights I gained from your course helped me much more than I imagined it would. The workshop was a great experience, and I would highly recommend the course to anyone who is even thinking of taking the exam.
Thanks again
Anoop P. Ayyappan, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing to you to let you now that I just got my results and I passed. I thank you and Dr. Swartz for giving a clear picture of the exam.
Anna, I thank you especially for your breathing technique….it helped me a lot…….
Thank you once again….
Hemikaa Kumar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
Praise be to ALLAH and blessings on His Last Prophet.
I passed the USMLE Step-2 CS exam. I got my result today on 6th of August, 2008.
It was my second attempt at the USMLE step-2CS. On my first time, I had failed in all the three components of the USMLE Step-2CS. Your wonderful coaching was one of the things which made it possible to happen.
You instill confidence into your students which is very essential for passing this exam. Thanks a lot for your wonderful coaching.
Give my regards to Ms. Anna Lank and all the SP’s there. You are a wonderful team there.
I have no hesitation in recommending your program to other USMLE aspirants.
Aamer Rashid, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz,
I am Dr. Mukkara Siva, Rama. I have passed Step 2CS. Unfortunately I had failed Step 2CS three times before taking your workshop. Honestly, I am really an above average student.
I was impressed by your Step 2CS workshop. After that I have improved my communication skills considerablely. At the end of the workshop, I felt stressed, but I came to know many important techniques to make my clinical encounter better and more natural. In spite of my three failed attempts, this time I knew that I am going to pass even before I take the step 2CS. This is one of my life time accomplishments with your help.
Thank you very much and I appreciate very much your directions for my exam.
Mukkara Siva, Rama Krishna Reddy, M.D., India
Hi Anna,
I am Hirenkumar Pansheriya (Dr. Kumar, a new name given by you). I was with you guys on 14, 15 and 16 July for my Step 2CS preparation.
Today I got the most eagerly awaited news of my life: that is “I passed a Step 2 CS”.
When I came out of Step 2CS center, I thought this was my worst performance among all the exams I have given in my life. The reason I was thinking like that is I forgot to ask many questions to patients and forgot to perform many physical examinations in many patients.
Thought that someone was judging me was making me nervous all the time and that’s why I forgot to ask many questions to patients. But during the exam one thought that was constantly going on in the back of mind is “watch the patient’s facial expression and body language” and think OUTSIDE THE BOX!
I passed thanks to you and the C3NY team. Please send my thanks to Dr. Swartz.
Hirenkumar Pansheriya, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Dear Anna Lank,
I am Ashmi Desai from the C3NY batch of June 2008. I want to thank both of you for your help and support. I just got my results, and I have successfully cleared the exam.
My two other friends who joined me in your classes also cleared the exam so we are all really happy that we took your workshop. Your classes really helped us a lot.
Thank you very much from all three of us.
Ashmi Desai, M.D., India
Dear Ms. Lank and Dr. Swartz,
I got my step 2 cs scores today morning, and I passed. I would like to thank you and the standardized patients for your insight and help. I was in the October 2008 batch.
I would like to share my experience in Philadelphia. The staff and sps were all very nice. I did have one telephone case. I took your advice and made conversation with the patients. Timing was not too difficult for me as I usually was on the last few lines of closing when the end bell sounded. The part which I found most helpful after attending your classes is that for a few patients who didn’t tell you what the main complaint was, it took casual conversation, not a memorized list of questions, to gain the real information from them.
After each patient I felt that I didn’t know what the diagnosis was, and I was quite worried. But then I remembered Dr. Swartz saying to us that if the diagnosis is very clear, then you are not getting the real picture.
Overall even though our interaction was a short one lasting only 3 days, it was a very intense one. Hopefully my CS scores will help me to match for 2009.
Nandini Yadav, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
Yes, I took the test, and I passed it (in the first attempt)! I got the result yesterday.
Dr Swartz’s and your efforts could do it for me! Thanks to your team…
I performed so badly on the 3rd day at C3NY…but that was an eye opener…I could do good in the actual test.
The practice of “Introduction” of self was just fabulous…I never forgot to smile, and introduce myself.
Thanks a ton!
Dhanashree Rajderkar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I passed and as promised I am sending you an email.
I don’t know whether you will remember me, but I am Saurabh from India, and you spoke to me on the last day to postponethe exam as I was a classic example of being “first aided.” I rectified in time and appeared after a lot of practice day and night and cleared the exam though I am glad that you were truthful to me.
It would be nice to hear from you.
Saurabh Rohatgi, M.D., India
Dear Anna & Dr. Swartz,
Good to hear from you…Yes, I did pass the CS exam and am now doing residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
I still remember you and Dr. Swartz. It was really helpful to get some hands-on experience.
Ram Niwas Bishnoi, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
Wishing you best of health and happiness.
I have received my step 2cs exam result, and I have passed. I extend my thanks for your help and guidance during the C3NY course I attended in December. The atmosphere at C3NY was wonderful and interacting with the SP’s helped me understand the exam better.
Dharam Purohit, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz,
I got the results of the CS exam today!! and Sir, I have passed it !! I am mailing you back immediately as we all participants April’ 09 workshop had promised you to do so!
Sir, I owe the biggest share of this win to you, Anna Lank, Charles and all other SPs. This was my second time at the CS exam. I will never forget the days I spent in frustration when I failed in CS exam last June. I had almost lost faith in myself and also in the GOD. I felt horrible after scoring high on step 1 & 2CK.
When I gathered courage to take CS exam again, this time did not want to any chances. I had decided to give best possible effort. I came to know about your esteemed C3NY workshop from one of my friends and also through internet. I guess, there cannot be any better person than Dr.Swartz and his team to make examinees understand the way exam can be cracked. I am very grateful to the whole C3NY team because I believe its because of them, I regained confidence in myself, performance at case encounters improved dramatically and started thinking “Out of the Box” as Dr.Swartz always suggested us.
I took CS exam within 7 days of completing the workshop. The decision to enroll for C3NY workshop was, I think, the best decision I have ever made in time. It was such crucial decision and brought me success.
I strongly recommend C3NY workshop for every USMLE aspirant especially for IMGs. CS exam is altogether special & different examination pattern, and it always required special guidance and preparation. And there cannot any place better than C3NY for this. I think this workshop is “MUST ATTEND” for every second time CS takers.
Once again. I give my best wishes to Dr.Swartz, Anna Lank and other team members.
Thanks a million, C3NY.
Dr. Kirankumar D. Bhosrekar, MD, India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms.Lank,
I gave my exam on May 15th at Philadelphia. I got the result, and I passed.
I owe my result to the information and suggestions given at the C3NY workshop in the month of April ’09.
I am thankful to both of you and the SP’s who gave us tips on improving.
Thank you once again.
Sapna Ravindranath, M.D., India
Dear Anna and Dr. Swartz,
I passed CS in 1st attempt on 24th June. I have been away from medical practice for 9 yrs and but with your help I could do it. Thank you for all your and C3NY’s help and cooperation.
Rudrani Ghosh, M.D., India
Dear Dr Swartz and Anna,
I passed !!!!!
I got my results today. I got very high score in my communication and rapport skills with the patient. Your course really helped me a lot. It gave me the confidence I needed for this test.
Those 3 days even though quite intense were perfect and very helpful. I will recommend this course to all my friends.
Thank you so much.
Devi Das Poovadan, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
I passed Step 2 CS and THANK YOU!!! Thank you so much.
Dr. Swartz really guided us well on the road to success and honestly, I had come out of the exam feeling like I had not done too well (as you told us). But it looks like I did pretty well save the patient note which I attribute to my bad writing really.
You guys changed the way I think and really I know that I will be a better physician because of your workshop. You have really helped me much more than you realise.
Thanking you again.
Paroma Mitra, M.D., India
Hi Dr Swartz! and Anna Lank!
At last I have passed after five attempts! Thank you very much for your help!
I cannot describe my feelings and I don’t have words to describe my thankful feelings for you.
With Regards!
Pradeep Goyal, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I am Madan Acharya. I was a student of yours at the March 2010 workshop of C3NY.
I am mailing you today to inform you that I got the result of my test and I passed!!
I am grateful for the help and advice that you and Anna have extended to me and my friends…C3NY really helped me with my preparation and gave me the much needed last minute boost to my performance on the Step 2 CS.
The path to the exam, Step 2 CS itself is filled with so many people’s opinion(s) that many take the exam with several preconceived notions from their peers. C3NY did a great job at convincing us that this is indeed a standardized exam and the right way to approach the exam is often all that is required to pass. Although bedside mannerisms and American courtesies can potentially be a lifelong learning experience for IMG’s, C3NY was an excellent ‘crash course’ and ultimately does make one a better physician rather than just a better test taker. I would certainly recommend this course for anyone who is about to take the Step 2 CS exam.
Madan Acharya, M.D., India
Dear Anna /Dr. Swartz:
I received my Step 2CS score today morning. Yes, I have passed.
Thanks a lot …Sir for his best clinical sessions and Anna you for your extremely useful tips.
I passed at first attempt and of course the credit goes to whole team at C3NY. My regards to Mr. Charles. (He was wonderful human being)\
Thanking you all once again.
D.P., M.D., India
Hello Mz Lank,
My name is Indumathy. I attended your C3NY course in March 2010 and I am thankful to you. I just received my results. I have passed.
Thank you so much for helping me!
Indumathy Varadarajan, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I passed the CS exam and I am so happy while sending this email as we promised on the last day of our workshop.
As your each and every piece advice and all that minor details that you gave us, I kept in my mind. Most important thing I liked in your workshop is your personal contact with all of us and lively atmosphere of your class. We also made some good friends over that period.
I tried to use that “magic T-shirt phrase ” in most of cases. Not only for the exam but all practical aspects you told us are also very important and helpful in dealing with patients in real life. I hope rest of my friends from April 2010 class also have cleared exam successfully. I promise I’ll spread good words about your class.
Once again thank you so much Dr. Swartz , Anna and all the SPs for helping us, and hope we will get chance to see other in future.
Nikul Chaudhari, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I am pleased to inform you that I got my results today, and I passed the CS exam.
Once again, I would like to thank you both and your team for a tremendous learning experience at C3NY!
I hope the rest of us from the March 2010 batch have the same good news to share with you…
Meenal Padalia, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz / Anna,
As promised during the March workshop, I am writing to say that I have passed my CS exam. The workshop was of tremendous significance in my preparation. As someone who didn’t have any exposure to US clinical practices, I was extremely nervous about the exam. This just goes on to show how effective the workshop was that I was able to pass it just by the experience I obtained through C3NY!
The tools that were taught in the workshop, helped me smoothly glide through the exam. Most importantly, during the exam, nothing seemed like a surprise. Some of my colleagues who didn’t have the advantage of Dr. Swartz training, made predictable mistakes and were unsuccessful their attempts.
It was very interesting how Dr. Swartz told us, that we are going to feel confused and not confident after the encounters and how that was ok. It was exactly that. Devaluing the importance of “checklists” was I feel the most important thing taught to me in the workshop.
I have already told my friends and colleagues about C3NY.
Thanks for everything.
Uddalak (a.k.a. the "gag-reflex" guy) Majumdar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna Lank,
Thank you to you both and the whole team of C3NY I was able to pass this exam.
All my scores are above borderline.
Thank you all once again and GOD bless you!
Jigar Joshi, M.D., India
Dear Dr Swartz and Ms Lank,
I was a member of the June batch of doctors in your C3NY training program. I took my CS exam in late June, and it is with great pleasure and happiness that I thank both of you and the entire C3NY team for playing a vital part in my success in the exam.
From highlighting the common mistakes made during patient interviewing, to emphasizing a professional introduction technique, history taking tips and closures, your team has mastered a highly efficient and well-planned course which enables foreign doctors like myself understand and prepare effectively for the CS exam within a short span. Overall it was a memorable experience and even more so after the great result.
Dr. Ragesh Govindan Nair (aka Dr. Nair), India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I am Dr. SASIKUMAR (Kumar as you all called me) who attended June 2010 session and attended exam last week of June at Philly. I passed the exam and am so glad to say that C3NY helped me a lot.
Thank you very much both of you and those nice three days will be a lifetime memory for me.
DR. SASIKUMAR, India
Respected Ms. Lank,
I completed the C3NY course in June, 2010 with you and Dr. Swartz, and I wanted to give you the good news that I have cleared my step 2 CS exam.
I am very happy and extremely grateful to the whole team at C3NY and Dr. Swartz for conducting such a wonderful workshop for teaching FMGs the nuances of patient interaction. Please convey my sincere thanks and regards to Dr. Swartz too.
I am sorry I did not write about my result earlier as I have been constantly traveling and it slipped my mind.
Thank you again for the great workshop which enabled me to clear the exam. (the patients reacted just as you guys said they would and i was thinking at the back of my mind “thank god I did that workshop so now I know how to deal with this situation” – had the silent, talkative, aggressive and dominating patients and was able to efficiently manage
them.)
Thank you again and hope you continue helping more students on their way to becoming good doctors.
Dr. Shardul Gadhia, India
Hi Anna,
I am glad to let you know that I passed the exam taken on July 13th, 2010.
I would like to take a moment to thank you and Dr. Swartz as it would have been really difficult to get through the exam without attending the C3NY workshop. It was one of the best workshops I ever attended in my career.
Keep it up. Good wishes.
Dr. Bari, India
Hello Dear Dr Swartz,
It’s Khalid. I am fine and doing good and I am sure that you will happy more than anybody else to know that I passed the exam, and it’s really a big surprise for me.
You know I was never sure that I would ever pass this and I must tell you it’s because of you and Ms Lank that I somehow passed this exam.
Well, hope both of you are doing good.
Keep praying for me and train other examinees with same enthusiasm as before.
Thanks once again for guiding me well!
Khalid Rashid, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Mz. Lank,

It was really the truth that the one who has faced Dr. Swartz and his team can never FAIL in step2 CS…….Yes you were right….The coaching you gave to me was awesome….It helped me a lot.
And Ms Lank, You taught me REFLECTIVE TECHNIQUE TO ASK THE QUESTIONS…..Frankly speaking that has worked in my case in the real exam…..
And I am heartily thankful to Mr. Charles to be my SP during coaching which has helped me to learn a lot regarding improvement in my ICE & CIS…..
Thanks a lot guys……….You guys helped me a lot…….
Thanks again…..
Dr. Mrugank Bhavsar, India
Hello Dr Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I got my CS result just now and it is with immense pleasure that I would like to say I PASSED!!!!!!!
I would really like to thank you for all the advices and suggestions that helped me pass this exam in my very first attempt. I was able to learn a lot of things from you which I would practice throughout my life.
Ms Lank’s READ and BREATHE was very useful. It helped a lot in facing the patients at the exam.
Keep up the good work and wish you all the best. You really have a very good program.
Niju Baby Narakathu, M.D., India
Dear Ms. Lank,
I took your course in April 2011. I am happy to inform you that I have passed my Step 2 CS exam.
I would like to thank Dr. Swartz and you for creating a wonderful learning environment and providing timely guidance and support.
Aravind Ravichandran, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz & Anna,
I just wanted to let you know that I passed my cs exam that I took in Philadelphia on Jan 27th.
I think that your workshop is wonderful and it really builds confidence which is what we all desperately need in order to pass this exam.
Thank you both for your help. You are doing a great job!
Jyothi Gunta, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz,
I am Vidita Divan from India.
I passed Step 2CS!!! I am so happy for that.
Thanks a lot for your efforts and advice for that. I really appreciate C3NY. It’s not just helpful for Step 2CS, but also to do practice in US. I think each and every IMG should do C3NY before starting practicing in US.
Thank you so much to you and your whole team.
Vidita Divan, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I wanted to tell you that I got my result today and I passed.
Thank you soo much for the wonderful experience. I will always remember those three days as a steep but extremely important learning curve that I’m fortunate to have had.
It has immensely helped me, not only for the exam, but I’m sure for the years to come.
Thank you.
Hitesh Gidwani, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
Hope you both are doing great
I just received my result and I passed. Surprisingly with asterisks in patient note and ICE and decent performance in rest of the fields too.
I can’t thank you guys enough for the support, guidance, confidence and above all, the best of the study partners that you provided with.
I hope rest of the people from the team did well too.
Keep doing great work. You guys rock!!
Thank you again
Toral Desai, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
I enjoyed your program very much. I was your student in June 13th 2011 session. My name is Bhanu D. Alladi, from India.
I am happy to let you know that I passed my exam, and I thank Dr. Swartz and his team for all the help and training you given to us.
Once again thank you very much for all your efforts, and I will definitely recommend your program to my friends
Bhanu D. Alladi, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I am so sorry for replying late. I was busy with my CK preparation and took the exam yesterday.
I am extremely glad to let you know that I have passed Step 2CS that I took in LA on 12th July. Not only that, I have got 2 asterisk marks in PN and ICE and higher performance in other segments too. I thought I have failed after my exam just like how you said we’re going to feel at a loss after SP encounters! I was out of the world happy when I opened my score report and couldn’t believe my eyes for a moment!
I was in the June, 2011 batch of C3NY. The three days of the session were unique and essential. On the second day, as we were running out of time, you performed the PE rapidly at the end and that helped me to manage my time in real exam where we get only 2-3mins to do the PE. So the brief but concise PE technique was of tremendous help. I got a very unusual case on the 3rd day of your course and performed terribly, but I think that was the key to my success as that incident made me take this exam even more seriously.
I can’t thank you and the rest of team enough. I don’t think I could have made this in one go without your help. I have already suggested many of my fellow CS takers your program and will continue to do so. I wish you and C3NY all the best, and I hope you will keep helping many IMGs like me in the future successfully.
Ahana Roy, M.D., India
Dear Sir,
It all worked 96 I’ve passed!!
I thank you for all the help. I was still poor with my typing speed and my timing when I went in for the Exam, but throughout the Exam I kept telling myself that I am a generalist and I just need to do the basic things correct. I had no list of questions or lists in my mind, but I had practiced a lot of random extempore cases just the way we were guided by you. It all helped 96 thank you so much!

Hello Dr Swartz,
I got my CS results last week. I passed comfortably with a good performance profile.
All thanks to you, Anna and the SP’s. Thanks a lot for your immense help and guidance.

Thanks a million!!!!

C3NY…C3NY…C3NY
I can’t press more how important this C3NY coaching is for USMLE Step 2CS aspirants. I went to coaching with a blank mind and not even having an idea how exactly Step 2CS examwas conducted in real.
Dr. Mark Swartz is truly a good teacher; he will guide you well and prepare you for the exam.
I wouldn’t have excelled this exam if I would not have known how important it is to treat the SP’s as real patients. He pressed the importance of confidence in this exam. How to introduce oneself; how to ask open ended questions; how to show empathy; how to summarize the case; how to do physical examination; and more important how to do a perfect closure was taught by Dr Mark with so much perfection and in such detail.
I even used Dr.Mark’s Step 2CS book for Step 2CS preparation and trust me its worth every dime.
At the end of Day 3 of the workshop, you will get a clear picture how to prepare for the exam and also you will love Dr. Mark’s teaching.
What more? The result had to be PASS but with HIGH PERFORMANCE was a cherry on a cake.
I had an awesome experience with C3NY!
Thank you Dr.MARK SWARTZ

Hi Ms. Anna,
I was your student in October batch. I took my exam at Chicago on 25th October. And I got my score report today. Thanks a lottttttt to you and Dr. Swartz. I passed with high performance.
I can’t thank you enough. Could not have been possible without your guidance; I am highly thankful. Pay my regards to Dr Swartz as well. Thank You!

Hello Dr. Mark H Swartz,
I passed my CS exam.
Your approach and guidance was really great and very, very helpful especially for IMG’s with no prior clinical exposure in US.
Thank you once again Dr. Swartz and the team at C3NY.
I would suggest C3NY workshop for all those who are looking for right guidance.
Aruna Janaki, M.D., India
Hi Anna & Dr. Swartz,
I got my result today, and I passed my CS.
I took your C3NY coaching in April. Thanks to you both.
I just want to say your course is wonderful. I felt bad on last day that I needed to work a lot. But it worked.  I finally passed.  Spending $1,300 on this course was really worth it!
Thanks again! 🙂
Sukhdeep Singh Bhogal, MD, India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I hope that you are well.
It is finally time I get to say, THANK YOU, I have passed!
I had delayed Step 2 CS for months because of my own fear of facing the exam (again).  Days before the exam, I reviewed the material you had given us, and it helped tremendously with my confidence.  There were several cases during the exam where I could recall your instruction, and I knew that without having attended your class, it would have gone a different way, and I would have failed, but instead I am now ECFMG Certified. Good luck to all future C3NY students & alum!
Sincerely,
Sandeep Sankineni, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
My name is Jaison Manakattu. I was in your April 2014 group of C3NY.
I wanted to let you know that I passed my Step 2 CS.
Thanks a lot for all the advice and instructions you gave. C3NY was of tremendous value!!  I saved a lot of time using your examination techniques which gave me more time to write my patient notes.
With lots of thanks and prayers,
Jaison Manakattu, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
Hope you are doing well.  My name is Diana Grace Jacob.  I attended the C3NY workshop in the month of August.
Today I got my Step 2 CS results, and I am excited to tell that I PASSED!!!
Once again thank you, and I owe it to your class. Hope you are hearing good news from other candidates too.
Thank You,
Yours Faithfully
Diana Grace Jacob. M.D., India
Dear Anna,
Thanks to you and Dr. Swartz, I passed the CS exam!
You guys are the BEST…!!!
Parminder Singh, M.D., India
Hi Dr. Swartz,
I learned today that I passed!  THANK YOU!
When I came to C3NY, I was prejudiced with many things for the Step 2CS exam, especially from First Aid.  But you changed my feelings about the exam completely, and by the last day of the workshop, I was confident to take my exam.
Truthfully, I want to tell you something.  After I returned to Chicago, I did not touch First Aid. I only practiced cases with my husband.
I am so happy your class entirely changed my outlook toward approaching American patients and the Step 2CS exam..
Regards and many thanks!
Hrudya Abraham, M.D., India
Dear Sir,
Today I got my result: I passed.
I am really so much grateful to you to give me very, very helpful guidance.
Now I cannot imagine what would occur if I would have gone for exam without your help.  Thanks a lot.

Dear Ms. Lank,
I am pleased to let you know that I passed my CS exam.
I was a part of the C3NY September 2012 workshop. I took the exam on January 26, 2013 in LA. I got my score report today.
I want to thank you and Dr. Swartz for all your help. Also, I want to thank the SP, Mr. Charles.
I will recommend C3NY workshop to my friends.
Thank you,
Leeba Babu, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Anna Lank,
I was your student of November 2012 batch. I just received my score on 30th January 2013, and I am very happy to inform you that I passed this exam. It was my privilege to be a student of C3NY class. It was indeed a memorable experience. You have helped me in preparing for CS exam and pass this CS exam at my first attempt and will also help me become a good doctor.
I’m very thankful to C3NY class for all the guidance that you have given us to prepare for the Step 2CS exam.
Sheetal Bhatt, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I am feeling excited to tell you that I just got my result of step 2 cs yesterday, and I passed it!! I took it on 14th June in Los Angeles, and I was enrolled in your May workshops. I would like to mention that this happened after a failure, and the only thing which changed between failure and success was that I attended your classes, which was one of the best learning experience in my life.
On my previous attempt, I failed in Spoken English Proficiency (SEP). Before attending your workshops, I was very confused on how this workshop would affect my SEP, but I was wrong. Now, I strongly believe that following your concepts and styles of dealing with this exam affected and lifted my entire performance including SEP, which helped me to pass this exam.
Things I liked the most about your workshop are: your fundamental approach and knowledge of dealing with this exam, constant feedback by you, Anna, SPs, direct interaction with your SPs who have been real SPs and watching other people performing real encounter etc. Through your workshop, I also got good friends to practice for this exam, and now we are planning for the residency together.
I have already recommended my friends about your workshops and will continue doing that. Most importantly, some of them already took the exam after me and passed this exam.
I am really thankful to you and Anna, not only for helping me to pass this exam, but also for teaching me helpful traits toward my medical career in United States.
Sincerely
Chintan B. Shah, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I took the C3NY course in April 2005, took the exam in May, and I just learned that I passed the exam. I want to thank you both very much for all the help.
Dr. Swartz, you are a wonderful teacher, and you taught exactly what we need to know for this exam. I would say you are one of the best teachers I have ever had.
About the exam, I did exactly what you advised us to do, I spoke slowly and followed everything you told us to do and I passed because of you.
I have been telling all my friends the good work of Dr. Swartz and will continue to do so.
Thank you once again, and I wish you my best.
Best regards,
Abirami Tanjavur, M.D, .India
Warm regards,
Anoop Jalota, M.D., India
Hello Dr Swartz,
I attended your Step 2 CS 3 day workshop in Manhattan in February 2005, and sat for my exam 4 days later. I did everything as instructed, especially the communication part but felt that I had not done well. I just got my results and I passed!
The 3rd day interactive session with the simulated patients was very good. You just told us what is required to pass the exam and the American way of doing things, which is very important. It is money well spent to attend such a course in order to achieve good results.
Many thanks!
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Naidu Kella, India
Hello Anna & Dr. Swartz,

Hope you are doing great.

This is just an update. I just got my Step 2 CS result, and I passed. Just wanted to thank you for all the help and support.

Your guidance was really helpful. I kept everything we learned in your class in mind during the exam, and it really helped especially the interactive SP sessions we had during the 3-day course in NYC.

Thanks a lot again!

P.S. I took my exam on May 5, 2015

Hello Anna,
I am pleased to inform that I have passed my Step 2CS exam. I had appeared at Phili in the last week of October after the October C3NY Workshop.
I am indebted to you, Dr. Swartz, and all the SP’s at C3NY for their contribution in helping me achieve this goal. I firmly believe that going through the C3NY course not only helps you to pass CS but also improves your communication and interaction skills during the day to day patient encounters.
Thanks again and happy holidays!

Hi Dr Swartz,
I enrolled in your class last May 2014. I got my results and I passed!!
Thank you for helping me understand “communication” is the most important thing for the Step 2CS exam. I talked to patients like I would to my family…genuinely from my heart. I did what they considered as the most important. I believe they had to give me a good score even though I did not do in ICS as well as I had hoped.
More importantly, you said to me “God bless you” privately on the last day, which is the real reason why I passed.
Thanks again,
Kezia Ann Sam, M.D., India

Hello Dr. Swartz,
My name is Gulvahid, and I attended your June C3NY Step 2-CS workshops. I am very glad to inform you that I got my result and I passed.
I am very much thankful to you for all the things that you taught me. Before attending the workshop, I was very concerned about the direction I should take (what was important for the exam), but you showed me the right path to take. Things that you taught me were not only helpful for the exam, but I think they will help me in my entire medical career. I am indeed most grateful to you and your excellent style of teaching.
Now anyone who asks me how to prepare for exam, I tell them that they must join your class!
Once again thanks.

Dear Dr. Swartz & Anna Lank,
This is Dr. Nirmala Senthil Kumar who attended your course in August. I am glad to tell you that I passed the exam.
Your course really prepared me well for the exam. Thanks a lot.
Nirmala Kumar, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Anna,
This Prathiba Doddabasappa who attended the August class. Today, I checked on the Oasis……Immedately all the letters were in the RED….showing you not eligible to reapply for the exam–I PASSED!
You may remember I am the person who made the mistake while taking the history from the anxious woman on the third day….you gave me so much encouragement. You kept saying “you have a great personality..you can do it”. I kept that in my mind always when I went to exam….and I finally succeeded. I took the exam 2 weeks after the workshops.
Thanks Dr. Swartz for teaching us how to take a history and do a physical examination and all the communication skills. Your teaching us how to write a clincal history and write-up was excellent. Regarding the cases on the exam, they were all similar to the ones we did in the C3NY workshops.
I am thankful also to Anna for her breathing techniques and exercise and for the greeting exercise. At first, the exercise seemed silly….but it was really worth it.
Good luck for the future C3NY participants who are taking the course and exam. THE WORKSHOPS ARE WORTH EACH AND EVERY PENNY!
Once again thanks so much Dr. Swartz and Anna.
Prathiba Doddabasappa, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Ginny, Anna and all the SPs,
I just learned that I have passed!! Thank you so much for everything.
I attended your August workshop, and you may remember, I didn’t do well on the history with the patient on the 3rd day of the workshop. I left the workshop feeling pretty low, but I resolved to work hard using all the feedback you gave me. Although I was not totally happy with my performance on the Step 2-CS exam, with the kind of training that you gave me, obviously nothing could have gone wrong and… I passed!!
Believe me; I’ve never walked into an exam feeling so confident about myself. I found myself following the protocol almost mechanically during the exam. It was as if I could hear Dr. Swartz saying, “Knock!Introduce yourself…Drape…” and so on. The interview techniques you taught us were great. I felt as though I really connected with the patients!there was just the kind of ‘ping-pong’ of conversation that Anna emphasized. At the end of my third encounter, the SP told me, “Thank you doctor that was great.” That gave me a big boost of confidence, and I sailed through my remaining encounters.
I would recommend your workshop without hesitation to all who plan to take the CS exam.
Thanks again!I find myself using the skills you have taught me, everyday in my clinical practice…C3NY for life!
Shweta Rao, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I attended your C3NY training in September 2005. After the first day of the class, I was greatly relieved that I took the training. After the first day I realized the objective of Step 2 CS and what they were looking for. It was sort of a purifying experience you can say. Almost everything I had imagined about Step 2 CS was WRONG. I learned a lot in the four days with you.
After the exam, I was very upset that I hadn’t done well, but you predicted correctly my reaction and my results.
I highly recommend the course to anyone who wants to pass the exam and become a better clinician.
Thank you once again. I appreciate all your help and guidance.
Mihir Shah, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
I just got my results. I passed!!!!!!!!!! It has been quite frustrating waiting for the results. There were people who took it 10 days after I did and got the results way before me. I was beginning to have doubts. Compared to the previous time, the exam went pretty well except for one rather annoying mistake I made. I had typed the first case and didn’t finish that patient note because I was too slow typing on the keyboard (I’m more used to my laptop). Anyway I switched to writing after that.
I had the Malaysian sisters (from the C3NY workshops) with me on the day of my exam, and it was a comfort seeing their friendly faces.
Your advice of breathing really made a big difference. I was loud and clear, and none of my SP’s had any problems hearing or understanding me.
Do convey my regards and much thanks to Dr. Swartz. His teaching is invaluable, and I am sure that his words will be ringing in my ears even when I go on to practice Medicine.
Thanks once again for everything.
Jenson Abraham, M.D., India
Dear Ms. Anna Lank,
Thank you. First, I want to wish you, Dr. Swartz and all the staff a happy 2006.
My step2 clinical skills exam result came yesterday. I passed the exam. I am profoundly thankful to all of you at the C3NY for having imbued me with the right way of communication skills focusing on the person, the human being in front of us-rather than thinking of them as cases and case lists.
Within those two days at C3NY training, I imbibed a new approach to communication which will be a most useful tool, not just for the exam, but for an enriching life experience with people whose care I am entrusted with. Special thanks to all the actors who gave their time and valuable feedback.
Dr. Srinivas, India
Hi Anna,
I would like to thank you, Dr Swartz and the SPs for your help and critique during the course. It was a great experience. I must add comment that one spare day that we had (between day 2 and day 3) to play with the oto-ophthalmoscopes as well as do some practice exam on each other was very useful. It not only brought us together as a group, but also helped us exchange some important info regarding the exam as well as future plans.
I took exam on Dec 16th and received result within 5 weeks. Dr. Swartz is a great teacher, and I enjoyed learning some important steps that are hard to pick from the books.
I have also heard comments from other people and having experienced it, I think your program is the most well-structured, organized and to the point. I am sure over the next years it is going expand and lots of folks like me will benefit from it.
Thanks again!
Harman Sek, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
Thanks to you , Anna and your team, I cleared the CS exam. It was a great relief to get the news. I took your workshops in October.
I am sure your team is carrying on with the good work! Cheers to all of you.
Aruna Perumal, M.D., India
Dear Ms. Lank & Dr. Swartz,
This is a message to you and to Dr. SWARTZ.
I have passed my step 2 clinical exam, and I express my sincere thanks to you all for the wonderful tips and insight you have given me for the exam. I was very nervous after the exam as I lacked time in some cases. But I stuck to taking a good history though I ran short of time in a few cases. I focused less on the physical exam and thought more about the counseling which worked in my favor I guess. Overall the case pattern was not very different from my first experience, but taking a good history and not leaving the room early (which I did realize after the first experience was not a good thing to do) paid me good dividends.
I am sure the students would benefit a lot from your course, and my appreciation to you all once again for the excellent guidance and encouragement.
God bless!
Sushil George, M.D., India
Thank you and Anna.
I passed my step 2CS. I had given my exam on 28th March 2006, came from UK to attend your February workshop. It was of great help to me. It helped to boost my confidence. Your way of teaching was excellent. You gave me the right direction. Learning through books is easy, but application needs right approach, which you taught me.
If anyone has a slightest doubt about his/her success in Step 2CS, they should definitely attend this workshop; its worth spending their hard earned money.
Thanks once again to you and Anna.
Dipika Sharma, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz,
Special thanks to you Sir. I came to know that I passed my step 2-cs exam today. I took the test on April 24th. Well I don’t know where to begin…I found ALL of your points useful in the exam. After the course in March, for the exam I was always ready to pick up any clue that the SP’s were directing me to other than the presenting symptom; so your concept of “THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX” really helped.
I would definitely recommend this course to all those who are skeptical about the exam. It gives a great direction to go.
Keep up the good work Sir.
Beena Jibin, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Anna,
How are you?
I have passed my step 2 CS. I attended C3NY in February-2006. It really helped me a lot in my exams. It was a really good experience in class to meet you and Anna and other students of the class.
Thank you very much.
Kairav Shah, M.D., India
Dear Anna and Dr. Schwartz,
I can’t tell you how happy I am today…I got the result thru post today and guess what..I passed!
I had this awful feeling after my CS exam…was hard to tell whether I did well or not…but the insight and the valuable info I got from the workshop which no book on earth can give you helped me all through the exam and will continue to do so in my future residency.
I want to thank all at C3NY with open heart….best workshop I ever took, and it was fun all the way…keep up with the great work!
Anand Ojha, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I hope you remember me. I was a participant of your April Step 2 CS workshop. I am glad to tell you that I have passed the CS exam and have obtained the ECFMG certification.
You were right, a candidate cannot judge his performance in the exam. The result proves that I was wrong in assessing myself. I thought that I will not do well, but the result was a pleasant surprise.
I think I owe a lot to you and Anna for your expert advice and tips for this exam. Your course was the critical factor in tilting the result in my favor. In hindsight, I think I should have given more time between your course and the exam to fully assimilate the important points and through you I would like to pass this message to all future course participants.
I plan to write step 3 in Sept-Oct this year.
Thanks a lot for your help.
I shall come to see you and Anna again when I come to New York (probably in Sept-Oct).
Tarun Pandey, M.D., India
This is Karuna Chettiar. I hope you remember me. I cleared my CSA exam. I want thank Doctor Swartz and you for my result. My hearty thanks to Dr. Swartz and you for your excellent job.
I am telling the truth from the bottom of my heart that your workshop helped me a lot. I can tell honestly that I passed in my exam because I joined your workshop. I didn’t feel any difficulty in doing exam; I was very confident on that day. I really appreciate your help.
Once again I thank you and Dr. Swartz.
Bye!
Karuna Chettiar, M.D., India
I wish you a Happy New Year and a belated Merry Christmas….to everyone.
I am glad to inform you that I have passed my Step 2 CS. I took the C3NY Workshops in August. I took this exam in October 2006 and this was my first attempt.
Thank you, Ginni, all the SP’s and especially Dr. Swartz for his guidance and coaching.
The workshop was amazing in every aspect. I think the exam was very close to the workshop, and it prepared me well for the day. I didn’t feel the anxiety at all. In fact, I was quite relaxed because I had some idea about this exam from the workshop.
Jasdeep Sohal, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
It is with great joy that I am writing to you to let you know that I PASSED the Step2 CS test. I really could not have done it without all the input I got from you and your team at C3NY. In the midst of all the misleading information provided on various websites and live prep courses, I found your workshop to be like a lighthouse which guided me to my success.
During the history-taking, I was easily able to pick up the subtle clues given by the SPs and during the physical exam, I knew exactly what exams to perform in the few remaining minutes that will score me points. Though I ran out of time in some cases, I was able to close the encounter properly with a just a couple of well chosen sentences. In a nutshell, your workshop made all the difference in the world for me.
Thank you for all your guidance and feedback. It was an amazing experience. My special thanks also to Anna, Charles, and other members of your team.
May the essence of your extraordinary workshop travel far and wide so that many more doctors benefit from it.
I shall stay in touch,
Deepika Sah, M.D., India
Dear Ms Lank,
I do not have words to express my thanks to you and Prof. Swartz. I have passed the Step 2CS.
Your course was of great help. It gave me great confidence in dealing with all types of SPs. I was hardly stressed during the exam. Prof. Swartz’s concept of looking out of the box was very helpful. His tips on clinical examination were very helpful. He is undoubtedly the best teacher to learn a lot from. I appreciate his patience and endurance to teach for hours together with the same energy throughout.
I am finding his clinical concepts of great help in daily practice. His positive approach towards exam preparation is instrumental in fetching success to his students. The course is the best for Step 2CS.
Dr. Ketan R. Vagholkar, MS, DNB, FACS, India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Anna!
I took the CS exam on Dec 27th, 2006 in Philadelphia and just found out I have passed.
I put in the extra effort of listening to the patient just like you have taught us at C3NY and how to communicate effectively. It made a huge difference to my confidence during the exam knowing what to expect from the SP’s.
I am very thrilled with my success, and I hope to get into a residency soon.
Special thanks to the SP’s at C3NY.
Vasavi Pasumarti, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz & Anna,
Heard the magic word…PASSED IN CS…..It wouldn’t have happened without you.
I came to C3NY in despair on 16 April….Having secured 99% with a 3 digit of 249 on Step 1, I took CS in Houston just to receive a failing result in Feb 2007.
On the first day of the C3NY workshop, I felt a ray of hope dazzling…..At the end of workshop, although, I didn’t perform well in my practice case. The confidence you created in me however kept me alive. I retook the exam again in Houston after your workshop and I passed!
THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!
Dinesh Bande, M.D., India
Dear Anna and Dr. Swartz,
Finally I passed my Step 2 CS exam.
I am very thankful to the C3NY class that I joined in April 2007.
Before the class, I was so depressed and felt fear for the Step 2 CS exam. But in the class you both taught us all the components very well so I felt much better. Even in class, when I took the sample exam, I became anxious and my mind became totally blacked out but after that Dr. Swartz gave me advice and encouraged me. After completion of the class with all the advice and information, I practiced with my friend on the phone and did physical examinations on my wife. Then, I felt so much better. I took my exam after 15 days of completion of class on 8th May 2007 in Chicago.
Thank you very much Dr. Swartz, you and all your co-partners who helped me in this situation and opened the door for me in the US medical field.
Great work, keep going, best wishes
Pranav Shroff, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz,
I am extremely thrilled to inform you that I passed the STEP 2 CS – I DID IT!
There is no doubt in my mind that I would not have been able to do this without attending C3NY. All I did was to follow your advice. There is so much more to this exam than just “history taking and diagnosis”. No book teaches you about the communication part. What I learned at C3NY, no book could have ever taught me, and I am glad I was a part of it.
I was not sure how I performed in the exam. My overall feeling was that the exam was difficult.Your classes were the best preparation for the test. The cases I did from your Step 2 CS review book were the closest in terms of what to expect from the exam.
I was very nervous in the exam before I would enter the room, but Ms. Anna’s deep breathing helped tremendously with that, it helped me forget one thing and move on to the next.
I thank the C3NY team for all their efforts in helping students get through this test.
Thank you once again for everything.
Shailaja Bhatia, M.D., India
Respected Dr. Swartz and other members of the C3NY team,
I passed, so did my other friend.
Thanks immensely for making us think “outside the box”!
Many thanks!
Dr. Mulla, India
Hi Dr. Swartz & Anna,
Yes I did take my exam, and yes I did PASS.
I had taken the C3NY course in June, and it was truly a wonderful experience. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Swartz and his team and I’ve recommended this course to a number of my friends.
I wish you the very best in this endeavor.
Dr. Pereira, India
Hello Dr. Swartz, Anna, and all others,
I am very pleased to write to you to let you know that I have passed the STEP 2 CS exam, and I wish to thank you for all your assistance in achieving my goal.
I was really nervous when I was taking the exam, but Anna’s deep breathing mantra has helped me throughout this exam to maintain my cool, and go with the flow of things. I focused on the cases and sometimes although it didn’t feel like it was the ideal 10 minute ordeal inside the room, but it felt that I had done my best when I would write the history. Active listening in my opinion is the key to passing this exam. A doctor needs to listen and not just hear is what I have learned from this exam and you.
Thank you so much!
Avni Desai, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz, Anna, and Ginny,
I am pleased to inform you that I passed the test which I took after 10 days of attending your course. This exam is a test of your interpersonal and communication skills rather than a test of your medical knowledge, and I don’t think anyone can teach this better than Dr. Swartz and his team. There is no one else who has a better idea about the exam than Dr. Swartz and the training tools which he uses are just awesome and he keeps you so involved for 3 days that it looks like you know him forever. The one thing exceptional about Dr. Swartz is that he has time for everyone and every question (I asked him so many during the breaks) and he never looks at his watch or makes you feel hurried while teaching.
The SPs which Dr. Swartz provides and the critical analysis which he and Anna do on the 3rd day just nails the entire course to perfection.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is taking the step2 cs and don’t waste your time on useless books or USMLE forums where one blind man is leading another one. Just remember for professional exams you need professional help and there is no one better than Dr. Swartz and his team.
I thank you once again for lighting the bulb in my life, and I will never forget the experience I had with your team.
Yuvraj Choudhary, M.D., India
Respected Dr. Swartz and Miss Anna,
I passed the step 2 cs. It was my 2nd attempt. Last time I flunked in CIS. I did everything last time: read First Aid and UW thoroughly. But was amazed to see my result. I was very demoralized, could not find out where I went wrong. But it was when I attended your workshop that I found out that this exam is not just about checklists and gathering and completing the whole history. It is about the humanitarian approach to the patient.
I have no words to thank you Dr. Swartz and Miss Anna. It was with your able guidance and your faith in me that helped my clear this exam. I was so demoralized at that time that I was thinking of postponing the exam. It was the last week of the slot. So if I postponed I was sure that I would be out of this year’s match. Just because Dr. Swartz advised me to appear on the scheduled date I could gather confidence and appeared for the exam. I am very grateful to Miss Anna too. I called her twice after the course was over to clear some of my doubts and she was more than happy to answer all my questions. I really appreciate your helping attitude and your patience Miss Anna.
And thanks a lot to all the SPs especially Barbara and a young white lady (I’m extremely sorry I forgot her name) and all the SPs out there. All of them are very good actors. One thing I really appreciate about this workshop is that everybody gets personal attention. I really appreciate your effort and want to once again thank you for your guidance.
Jasleen Kaur, M.D., India
I am very happy to inform you that I have passed the CS Exam.
My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Swartz and Anna Lank. I do not have words to tell you how much your C3NY workshop helped me in the exam. Dr. Swartz teaching is awesome. Your way of teaching communication skills is perfect for the exam. I gained a lot of confidence after attending C3NY, which is an excellent course.
Thank you once again…
Vijaya Subramanian, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I just received the results of my CS exam, and I’m so happy to inform you that I passed.
Thank you Dr. Swartz for your wonderful teaching and guidance. You always answered all our doubts even if it would be very silly with a smile. You are indeed one of the best teacher’s I have known.
Thank you Anna for teaching me everything from introducing myself to breathing techniques and of course how can I forget the coffee shop!!!
A special thank you to all the SPs. You guys were great.
Your workshop was very helpful to me, and I have recommended it to all my friends. That’s the least I could do as a token of my gratitude.
I guess its time for me to go and celebrate  Thank you all once again and God bless.
Thanks & best regards!
Joylin, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Ms. Anna Lank,
I have passed the Step 2CS exam!!!
Thank you very much.
Ravindra Patel, M.D., India
Dear Dr Swartz,
It gives me great happiness to be in a position where I can thank Dr. Swartz, Anna and all the SPs who helped and guided me in my preparation.
It was very disappointing for me when I failed in Step 2CS the first time I took it in July. I really couldn’t understand the reason for my failure. I felt I had washed my hands, summed up etc etc…all the do’s that were recommended on FIRST AID ,U/W and forums. What I didn’t know was my interpersonal skills hadn’t been good enough at that point of time. I had many doubts when I was preparing for the second time. I was so confused listening to several opinions and loosing my mind.
I must thank God that I heard about the course C3NY from a friend and at the last minute paid the fees and decided to go all the way to NYC from New Mexico. This was a big decision for someone who had been in the US only for a month and had never been to NYC before. But I must say it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The course was amazing and worth all the money and stress I went through for traveling all the way etc.
I realized that all the people who had been advising me previously were like those blind people trying to figure out what an elephant looked like….this cartoon was shown to us by Dr Swartz. He is a great teacher and certainly the best and most reliable person you can ask your doubts to. I actually asked him all my doubts the very first day and there can be NOBODY who knows more about the CS exam than Dr Swartz. All the people who had by stroke of luck passed CS on the first attempt would advise me so many silly things. I do not mean to be arrogant here but it was a great realization. I do not think that his teaching was limited to CS but I think it’s for life. As a physician in this country, you have to have to be a successful and compassionate physician. That’s what this exam is about and it became so clear to me after the 3 days at C3NY.
I certainly recommend this course to all IMGS. Just for the record, the first time I failed in CIS like most people and I gave the exam again in December 2 weeks after my C3NY class and passed.
My best wishes to all exam goers and my thanks to the C3NY team.
Shalini Ravi Kumar, M.D., India

Dear Dr. Mark Swartz and Ms. Anna Lank,
I just received my Step 2 CS Result, and I am so happy to inform you that I passed my exam.
Truly, I believe that your course is simply “The Best”. You gave me so much encouragement and self confidence that I was lacking before taking this course. I sincerely thank you very much for all the help give by both of you.
God bless you. Have a nice day.
M. Zuber Nakadar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
Yes I took my exam, and I am very happy to tell you that I passed.

Hi Anna,
I am very pleased to tell that I received the result of USMLE Step 2CS, and I PASSED!!!!!.
I would like to take this opportunity to say vote of thanks to C3NY group headed by Dr. Mark H. Swartz under whose guidence and with the valuable tips, I am able to achieve this goal. All the C3NY team members are really excellent, and their feedback helped me to get through Step 2CS hurdle and made me to get the ECFMG certification. No doubt Dr. Swartz is a good teacher, but he is a great councellor too.
I have no hesitation in recommending C3NY course to any Step 2CS candidate .
Once again I thank you all
Udayashankar R. Hiregoudar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I’m Kumar K. Batra, your student from the April group.
I got my result on 18th June, and to my surprise, I passed and I really thank you and Anna more than anyone else. You people put so much effort behind me that I knew I had to pass.
Truly speaking, I was shaken on the last day when you personally called me and suggested that I postpone my exam, but in a way, that worked as a shot in the arm. For the next 10 days, I put my heart and soul into the nitty gritties that you taught me, and I practiced and practiced and practiced with your book of course. The other thing that helped me was that I got a study partner from someone else in the workshop who was very supportive.
Sir, I would not shy away from saying that those 4 days in NYC have changed my life forever……and for the better. I think that your guidance will help me to become a better clinician, and above all, a better person. Thank you sir and thank Mizzzz Lank!
May God help you in your efforts to build futures and to turn dreams of students like me into a reality. Thanks for everything.
God bless you!
Kunnal K. Batra, M.D., India
Dear Dr.Swartz and Mizz Lank,
I have attended your workshop in the month of June, and I’m happy to inform you that I have passed the exam. I firmly believe that your workshop played a pivotal role in my success.
Actually I lost my exam in Communcation Skills the last time I gave it. So, I decided to enroll in your course which has got some great reviews on the internet. You guys were so informative about the exam that I knew my mistakes and this time I corrected them. I think that your workshop along with Dr. Swartz’s book for Step 2 CS is enough for any IMG who is not fully aware of the American way of interacting with the patients, to get through the exam.
Dr.Swartz provided information about what a physician should do and Mizz Lank gave the information from the patient’s perspective and this combination of you two guys make this workshop so unique. The techniques like “breathing exercise” and the concepts like “acknowledge the elephant in the room” will be helpful for the rest of my life. These things also helped a lot in my exam.
The beauty of this workshop is the direct interaction with the standardized patients who gave good feedback about our performance. Adding to it we can also get a good study partner with whom we can prepare without any conflicts in our thought process which might happen if we practice with an unknown study partner on the internet.
Thank you once again for all the help, as passing this exam was very crucial for me. Hope you guys carry out the good work and keep on helping many budding doctors. I really had a nice time at your workshop and it I am glad that I attended it.
May God bless C3NY!
Dr. BN Reddy, India
Hello Sir,
I want to inform you that I have passed the CS exam. It would not have been possible without your help and your teaching. I not only learned the communication skills, but I got the opportunity to meet a great human being who puts his hard core effort along with his team to help the IMGs to pass this test.
I cannot forget the third day of the course, when I could feel that you were so tired as you started from 9 am until 6 pm continuously except a small break, and during the last hours you didn’t even sit for a second you tried to answer all the questions students asked: this is a quality of a great human being. And how can I forget Miz. Anna Lank!she is also a great human being too. Her comments and advices were helpful for all of us during this course.
I am very thankful to all the SPs who were cooperative to all of us. Please convey my best wishes to all of them.
I wish you success in your field for all the time to come.
Thanking you
Dr. Zamir, India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Dear Anna Lank,
I am Dr. Abhay Vakil, your student from the August workshop, 2008. I appeared for the exam on 27th August after the workshop.
As you know I had appeared in the exam once before but was unsuccessful. The exam was a totally different experience after attending your workshop. All the things that you taught us helped me a lot, especially being in the room, listening to the patients and not asking questions from the list. Following this I could get a lot of positive history in much less time.
And today, I just received my results and I am very happy to inform you that I have passed the exam. The credit goes to you, Dr. Swartz and the whole team of C3NY.
Please let me know if I can be of any help to you right now or in future.
Thanking you all for your wonderful job.
Abhay Vakil, M.D., India
Dear Ms. Lank and Dr. Swartz,
I attended the April C3NY course. I passed the exam.
I would like to thank you both for the enormous help in making me understand this exam and get through it without any embarassing hiccups.
It was particularly hard to unlearn the ways I had learned for 7 years in the UK where i trained and completed the exams in Psychiatry. It was your approach that helped me through the process.
Thank you very much again for the personal training and motivation.
Dr. P.S. Bhoopathi, India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I am Dr. Vaidehi Panchal from Aug’ 2008 batch. I received my CS results, and I passed the exam.
I am heartily thankful to entire team of C3NY, under guidance of which I worked for the exam in the right way. It was after attending these classes that my entire view for exam was changed. I improved my communication skills and got the right approach. I was able to face the challenging questions during exam, at my best. I felt much stressed after completing the exams and was not able to predict how I did………but as Dr. Swartz said “If you feel that you didn’t do well during the exams-that means you did it right………and if you feel you did it all – it surely means you missed a lot”……..Thank you Doctor. And of course how can I forget the breathing exercise taught by Mizz. Anna Lank.
I heartily recommend the C3NY workshops.
May GOD bless entire team of C3NY!
Dr. Vaidehi G. Panchal, India
Dear Mz. Lank and Dr. Swartz,
I am Dr. Urjita Shah from India. I was in your course from 18-21st of August ’08.
I am really glad to inform you that I took my exam in September, and I passed it. Thanks a lot to both of you.
Wish you to continue helping people like me with your knowledge and experience. I wish to thank also all the SPs, especially the case I got for memory loss, an eldery female. She was amazing.
Thanks a lot again. I just wish we had Anna with us in the group picture.
Thanks
God Bless
Urjita Shah, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I have passed.
I attended your November class and took my exam in December. Your team did a great job. I will be recommending you to all my friends
My husband will be taking your course sometime this year before appearing for Step 2CS.
Take care and goodbye!
Aruna Ray, M.D., India
Hello Ms. Lank,
I took the Step 2CS exam within 3 days of your course and at least 50% of the credit for passing goes to what Dr. Swartz taught me in the manner of what is really being examined in the exam. Without that, I would have definitely failed.
Dr. Joey, India
Hi Anna,
I am fulfilling my promise made to you and Dr. Swartz that I will mail and let you know my step 2 CS result. I just got my score reports and I have PASSED!
Dr. Swartz was right. After finishing my exam, I was so certain that I had done everything wrong that I spent one and a half months thinking I would fail! But thanks to all your efforts, I cleared the exam. I can’t thank you guys enough for all your help, encouragement and advice. You are the best! THANKS!!
Kaushiki Kirty, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I have attended your workshop in April 2009 and took my exam on May 15 in Philadelphia.
I passed!!
I felt really awful after the exam but took great comfort from Dr Swartz’s words.
Please thank all the SPs at C3NY on my behalf…practicing with them at the workshop made me feel quite confident in the exam. Thanks a ton to both of you. Your guidance was really a great help during the exam.
I know I am too small a person to say this, but it is very rare to come across a brilliant teacher like you Dr. Swartz, and I am honored to count myself among your students.
Thank you once again!!
I wish you all the very best in everything you do!!
God bless all of you.
Jyothsna Karlapalem, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz & Anna,
I was feeling so worried about the CS exam until I joined the C3NY course. I joined the course just 1 week before my exam! I had no confidence of passing this exam at all….truthfully….!! After joining this course, you boosted my confidence so much, especially the last day after the SP encounter. The SPs were so wonderful. They are really so truthful yet polite in their comments.
It was a good experience for me to know how prepared I was before my exam. Both of your comments were also so useful. It also means a lot to meet people who are in the same position as you, and you can share your worries and anxieties without hesitation. I really liked my group.
It is a great course and I am so glad I was a part of it! Keep up the good work. And thank you very much for your help. I wouldn’t have done it without you.
Vidya Vijayaraghavan, M.D., India
Hi Anna,
This is Sushma Basa. I was in your March 2009 workshop, took the exam in April 2009. I got my results 2 days back and I passed.
A big thank you to Dr. Swartz. I think the C3NY workshop really helped me pass this exam. Thanks to the SPs for their support. Dr. Swartz’s workshop is awesome for IMGs; it helps exactly how to be with the SPs and what are the questions to be asked.
I recommend your workshop to everyone going for Step 2CS. Your breathing exercises helped. I think I made a good decision by coming to your workshop.
Thanks a lot once again.
Sushma Basa, M.D., India
Hi Ms. Lank,
I joined workshop in August 2009. My result is out, and I Passed.
Thank you all for your hard work and support. My score is low only in information sharing subcomponent.
Please forward my email to Dr. Swartz.
Dr. H. Nischal, India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Anna,
I was in your May 2009 workshop, and took the exam on June 2 [Houston] got the result on Aug 19 and I passed.
When I came to your workshop, I had a very little idea about communication skills, but I learned a lot about communication skills after I attended it. On the final day SP encounter, you told me that I was good in ICE and SEP, but I have to improve the CIS part. You taught me how to improve it. In the real exam, the SP’s were very happy with the introduction, which you taught us.
Thanks a lot for helping me pass this exam. I believe that you could help anybody to pass this exam.
God bless you and your team!
Catherine Nithya, M.D., India
Respected Ms. Lank and Dr. Swartz,
I hope you remember me. I am Anna Paul Thottan from the C3NY course in January 2010. I am writing to you to thank all of you for the incredible help and training rendered. I passed and I sure am real happy. I just got my results today and yes it was a huge sigh of relief.
I really benefited from your classes and today when I finally have got my results not from the point of view of just passing the exam but on the whole towards my clinical practice in USA. I really know this class has helped. I really wouldn’t call the exam a breeze but sure it really would have been more difficult had I not attended your class.
Once again, thank you so much for all the help. Thank you for telling me mnemonics don’t help. It was a huge relief off my shoulders on exam day and for the rest of my future as a clinician.
I congratulate all of you for the awesome work all of you are doing.
Wishing you all the best for the future,
Anna Paul Thottan, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
This is Dr. Sangeetha Chandramohan. I attended your work shop in April.
I took my exam in May and I passed The workshop was very useful. It gave me the whole picture of how to face my exam. Thanks a lot to Dr. Swartz. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOUR WORKSHOP TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO IS GOING TO TAKE THIS EXAM. Thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart…..
Sangeetha Chandramohan, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Anna Lank,
I am Dr. Phani Bhushan one of your students during the April session. I gave my exam on 23rd April at Atlanta, just 2 days after the course, and I have passed the exam finally.
I full heartedly thank you both for helping and guiding me to enable this. I am so happy for having achieved this, as this was one of those steps in life which has taught me many things. I adopted your way of data gathering and I have passed this time. Your classes also have given me an insight of the US culture and medical practice which will help me in my future career.
I wish you both the very best and request you to continue your courses as long as you can to enable many students like me to achieve their dreams.
Thank you so much once again.
Dr. Bhushan, India
Dear Anna,
Just to let you know that I found out I passed and to thank you, Dr. Swartz, and the SPs for teaching us the keys to do well on this exam.
Again, Thank You.
Felix, India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Dear Anna,
I attended the April workshop and I feel so glad to inform you both that I passed Step 2CS.
Hats off to a great guide teacher and mentor for instilling so much confidence in all of us.
You both helped me to be fearless and encouraged me to do my best. The tips and the golden points were simply amazing. Like a true teacher you saw beyond our weaknesses and never gave up on us. Your opinion and suggestions were of utmost importance. You gave me the real picture and cleared all myths and doubts about this exam.
The course is so insightful that it literally brings out the best in everyone.
Anna, you were awesome too. God bless you.
I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO ALL MY PHYSICIAN FRIENDS WHO ARE VYING FOR USMLE.
A good course is one which helps you the most and tougher than the real exam. You made it look so simple and achievable.
Albert Einstein said “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” And this is exactly what you did.
Thank you for showing me the way and leading from the front. It is said a teacher BECOMES MORE important than God as it is the teacher which shows the right path.
Keep up the good work.
C3NY ROCKS. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SUCCESS.
It was an honor to be taught by a legend.
Archish Khivsara, M.D., India
Hello Anna,
I was enrolled for the workshop for the month of May. I gave my exam on the 11th of June and received my result today. I passed CS with a decent performance and thank you and Dr. Swartz for the immense help. It wouldn’t have been possible without C3NY.
Shushnova Sangia, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I am the guy a couple of months ago…. who used to “overdo” his smile… and was “The Generalist” of the “day”. Hope you remember me.
USMLE Step 2 CS changed me as a person. The first time I took the test at Houston, I was this overconfident person who thought I know all the differentials … Once I am in front of the SP…. My “on the toes” rationale will help me… But that was a disaster! I flunked in ICE…. Data gathering was as if I did not ask anything at all!
The result was devastating…. I had the shock of my life… and thought my career just ended!…. again I did not know what to do…. what about all the years I put in … The future was a big question mark!
Then I came across C3NY…. I wanted someone to teach me how this thing is done! I decided to just go with my gut feeling…. “Dr Swartz wrote a textbook of Clinical Diagnosis which we all in India are very familiar with… and this was my opportunity to Learn from the “author” himself the “art” of Physical diagnosis”.. I chose C3NY… come what may!
Then the phenomenal C3NY happened! I was happy … but I was worried because I was dreading the whole “exam” experience to happen to me again!
I took it at Atlanta this time. I left the exam center feeling horrible! I was actively suppressing the memories of Step 2CS till this week. Then at 9:30 AM today, I opened my ECFMG profile and found my score report with the Golden words “PASS” in it! I am having tears in my eyes as I write this. I found Step 1 and Step CK easy… My final MBBS exam was easy…. My internship was easy! But Step 2CS was the toughest exam of my life!!! Nothing else was tougher, and I have cleared it only BECAUSE of your guidance… without your “listen to the SP’s leads” gem and “sensitisation” by You about the relevant focused Physical exam!…. this would have been another disaster..! The “relaxation ” three breath technique and telling in mind “I am here to help the patient”… (not to show him/her my knowledge) …. taught by Ms Lank… were so helpful… because as usual I had not slept for 2 nights prior to exam and I was nervous as hell.. But at least the encounters .. I could control myself .. thank you Ms. Lank for the magnificent technique!
Thank you Dr. Swartz…. and Ms Lank… and The C3NY SPs….Thanks to Charles. You all taught me “how” to “behave” as a “doctor” here in this great country!…. Thank you all SO much!!!!!!!
I have cleared Step 1 with a 99… and CK went well too… CS is done. hopefully I should be able to target this match!… seeking your blessings for the same!!! Thank you.
M.H.U., MBBS, India
Dear Dr. Schwartz and Mizzzzzz Lank (I am actually pronouncing it),
This letter is a token of appreciation and gratitude for making us confident in our Step 2CS venture. The third day of the workshop (a blushing exposure to the SP’s), I was almost convinced that I will have to take my CS exams twice, in order to pass.
But, to put it into perspective apart from guiding us, you have practiced and exposed us to a behavioral therapy which actually has worked out.
I have passed the CS in my first attempt.
It may sound weird, but I had decided to quit the ECFMG examination process had the results been negative.
May God bless people like you with more life and health.
My heartfelt and best wishes for C3NY.
Dr. Shivanand Patil, India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I had given Step 2 CS on 9th September, and I have passed it.
Since the exam, I was constantly worried about the result, as you told during class. But now I realized the importance of each and every comment you gave me and the SP gave me. And now I should say without that 3rd day we never realized where we were…..
THANKS YOU TO YOU AND ANNA AND ALL OUR SPs.
Soni Hardik, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Anna,
This is to express my heartfelt thanks to the entire team of C3NY. I had attended your September 2010 session, gave my exam in December and got my result today (2nd Feb 2011). I PASSED! I cannot put in words how happy I am feeling while writing this to you.
When my result had gone wrong in my first attempt, I had lost all my confidence until I came to you. To tell you the truth, I was even scared to come to New York alone. But from the time I walked into your class things changed. I felt very comfortable interacting with you all and my confidence started coming back. From the first day to the third, it was a marvelous journey of learning.
I could understand where I had gone wrong before and things were more clear about how this exam needs to be approached. You are the best in explaining the facts about the exam and in teaching about every minute details like introduction, history taking, physical exam and even the breathing exercise to relieve stress (taught by Anna) which was all very paying. The last day of the session where we can interact with the SP’s is the best part, as you had said – they can also teach us a lot.
The sessions also helped me in clearing many doubts I had and by the end I could see a ray of hope for this exam. It goes without saying that Dr.Swartz is an excellent teacher,he is the best.
Thank you very much once again for your help and support. The C3NY team will always be a gratifying memory in my life. God Bless you all!
Dr. Sindu Chandran, India

Hello Anna and Dr. Swartz,
My name is Babitha Haridas. I had attended your May workshop, and took the exam on May 9th. I am very happy to tell you that my score report came out this week, and I passed!!
Your workshop really helped me get where I am today, for which I am so grateful. Thank you so much for everything!
Babitha Haridas, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
C3NY to me is a wonderful experience, and it is a workshop in true sense.
It makes you comfortable about the idea of taking Step 2CS exam and have the confidence which was very important for me as in spite of having 99 in both of my steps, I lost CS in my 1st attempt merely due to low confidence.
I highly recommend C3NY as it is a true guide on how to go about the exam and an experience which you would savior all throughout your lifetime.
Thank you so much Dr. Swartz. Thank you to all wonderful SPs and dear Anna.
P.J., India
Hello Dr. Swartz and C3NY Team,
My name is Jigar Patel. I took a coaching at your workshop from 13-14-15 June 2011. I would like to tell you that today I got my step 2CS result and I am pass!
It was very beneficial to your coaching for my result.
I would like to say “THANK YOU”.
Jigar Patel, M.D., India
Hi Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I am extremely happy to inform you that I have cleared the Step 2CS exam.
I am extremely thankful for all the support from C3NY in getting me to get through the exam. I strongly recommend this program to all my friends who are giving Step 2CS with a short term preparation and short stay at USA.
Once again I thank everyone at C3NY!

Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I passed step 2cs. I want to thank you both so much. C3NY was really helpful to me. It really cleared many of my confusions and misconceptions regarding the test.
I truly believe attending your workshop is one of the most wise and wonderful decisions I have made in my life.
I wish all the best to C3NY.
Sanjib Mukherjee, M.D., India
Hi Anna!
This is Kavya. Well you can remember me: I am the girl in the violet shirt, sitting on the stool in your home page picture.
Thank you so much for including the picture.
I have passed by CS exam, and all thanks to you and Dr. Swartz!
Kavya Mittimanj, M.D., India
Hey Dr. Swartz,
I am very pleased to inform you that I passed my step 2 CS exam. I was at C3NY for the June workshop. The result was reported on the 3rd Wednesday and I was getting anxious but finally they posted it today.
The entire workshop experience was fun and interesting. I learned a lot of things regarding the step 2 CS examination and patient interaction in general. The days (in-spite of being long and hectic) were very interactive and gradually prepared us for the exam. “The greeting exercise”, “The T-shirt” everything was used by me during my exam. The non-mnemonic and patient-centered approach was of great help to do a thorough history and PE in a short interval. All of your SPs were fantastic and greetings to all of them from my side.
I really want to thank you and your team for the excellent structured workshop you provide which prepares students to crack the USMLE Step 2CS exam.
I will surely recommend C3NY to future students like I was recommended by one.
All the very best and keep up the good work.
Thanks so much!
Anand Kumthekar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I just wanted to let you know that I passed my CS exam.
Thank you so much for all your help; I know that the course was what propelled me to do well for my exam, because everything you taught helped guide me in my preparation, and the best part, was how you taught us the value of empathy, and the importance of seeing the patient as a whole…rather than a bunch of symptoms. I cannot thank you enough.
Once again Sir, thank you for everything. Both you and Ms. Lank really changed my outlook and even dispelled some of my fears regarding this exam.
Many graduates and medical students often forget that they are dealing with a person, and to look at them as a whole. I am glad that C3NY stressed the importance of looking at the big picture.
I don’t remember the names of all the SP’s that came on day 3 for us, but I’d like to thank them as well.
C3NY is awesome
Doria Narively, M.D., India
Hey Dr. Swartz & Anna,
I passed my Step 2CS!!! Thanks to both of you..
Aashir Shah, M.D., India
Dear Dr.Swartz,
I’m glad to inform you that I have successfully passed the Step 2 CS exam. (I trained with C3NY in April 2012.)
I would like to thank you, Anna and everyone in the C3NY team, who helped me achieve this target, and I will be certain to recommend the C3NY course to all future Step 2 CS aspirants.
Harsh Parmar, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I attended the C3NY workshop for USMLE Step 2 CS in the month of June 2012. It was my first week in the USA. I was doing my rotation in Florida, I travelled to NYC for this workshop.
As an International Medical graduate, Step 2 CS was a concerning exam for me, though there were so many misguided information underestimating the exam. But I went to the workshop, and I experienced a unique training which gives me an exact simulation and understanding the exam.
The 3 day course by Dr. Swartz was an excellent way of not only understanding the exam, but also was very helpful in mastering the differences in communication in the USA, which helped me big time even in my elective rotations.
The key feature of the workshop is the last day where you can actually practice with a standardized patient in front of Dr. Swartz and your fellow participants and get immediate constructive feedback from all of them.
On the day of exam, I just followed what the course guided me to do, of course with extensive practice after getting trained in the worshop.
I recently cleared my Step 2 CS with high performance in all three categories. I whole heartedly and strong recommend the C3NY workshop for every candidate (esp IMGs) without any reservation.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Swartz and his team for doing a wonderful job and being an important part on our road to residency.
Thanks for everything Dr. Swartz!
Hashim Abbas, M.D., India
Hi there Dr. Swartz…
I am Shanker Das Kundumadam. I took your workshop in June.  And I was the one who blanked out during your SP encounter… And you asked me to postpone my exam which I was taking within 5 days after workshop in Phily. Well unfortunately because of many circumstances I couldn’t postpone it, and I took the test on that date.
Well I got my scores now, and I passed. Thank you so much Dr. Swartz and Anna. Wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. The course was great help taught me how to see it in a whole different way not like the preset First Aid checklist.
I am so thankful to you and Anna and I wouldn’t have been possible for me to pass without C3NY.  And I took in Philadelphia which is notorious among IMGs.
Thank you again!
Shanker Das Kundumadam, MD, India
Hello Ms. Lank,
I passed my Step 2CS. Dr. Swartz asked us to inform you when we get through the exam.
I took C3NY Workshop in November.  You might remember me because I cried on that day for my performance with the SP.
Again, many thanks for your program.
Vindhya Athuluri, M.D.India
Hello Dr. Swartz and Anna,
This is just to let you know that I took my Step 2CS exam on the 18th of December in Philadelphia, and I passed with high performance.
I just wanted to thank you for all the help that C3NY was kind enough to offer. I think C3NY is a fantastic course, and for an IMG like me, it was a dream come true. The CS pattern has greatly changed, and the exam is supposedly not as easy as it was once thought to be. Had you not made me aware of the changes, I too might have fallen into the trap of thinking it was a cakewalk. The videos that you showed in your course were also very helpful, with flashes coming back to me during the exam itself!
I think half the job was done on the introduction itself, and you could visibly see the muscle tone of the SP relaxing, once he/she felt comfortable in the first few seconds of my presence, and the way you taught us to be loud and clear was invaluable. I can barely express my gratitude to you for helping me do well in this exam.
Thank you ever so much.
Best,
Payal Sen, M.D., India
Dear Ms. Lank and Dr. Swartz,
I got my results today, and I passed. My heartfelt thanks to both of you for the great experience I had for 3 amazing days.
You prepared us not just for the exam but also to become good physicians. You taught us the importance of listening to the patients and the right way to respond empathetically in any difficult situation. This helped me a lot during my exam to build rapport with the patients in a limited time.
What I liked best – the course is not about spoon feeding you with facts, but about learning how to think for yourself with any presentation of patient. It really helped me to broaden my views about the differential diagnosis and taught me how to think “out of the box”.
You guys are simply the best!! And I would highly recommend this program to all my friends.  One of my friends is joining your workshop next month!
Warm regards,
Vineetha Jose, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
How are you? This is Prachi here from Feb 2013 batch. I got my CS results this Wednesday. I PASSED.
I’m so very glad that I joined C3NY. The course put a lot of my anxiety to rest, and I was able to perform in my exam. I have attached my score report.
I’m very fortunate to have an opportunity to be a part of your class.
Thank you for the valuable lessons. I’ll carry them forward to my residency.
Warm regards,
Prachi Bhatia, MD, India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I am very grateful to C3NY Team and especially you . I will recommend all my friends for C3NY coaching.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. GOD BLESS YOU.
Thank you so much!
Dr. Vinaykymar Panchal, India
Hi Dr. Swartz and Ms Lank,
I am glad to let you know that I have passed the step 2 CS exam. The tips provided in the class were of immense help to tackle the exam. I am extremely grateful to you both and all the SPs .
Thanking you.
With best wishes and regards,
Thupten Gyatso, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz and Ms. Lank,
I’m sure you’re getting other emails right now, but I just wanted to let you know that I passed the CS exam held in November. I had attended your October 2012 workshop (top right guy in our photo).
I’ve attached my score report. As you can see, I did significantly better in CIS than in ICE. Your workshop is the reason I was able to do well in CIS.
Thank you for your help, and I will be recommending your workshop to my friends.
Richie Manikat, M.D., India
Hello Dr. Swartz,
My name is Gulvahid, and I attended your June C3NY Step 2-CS workshops.
Gulvahid Shaikh, M.D., India
Dear Anna,
I want to thank you and Dr.
Regards
Baljit Walia, M.D., India
To Dr.
Bye
Sincerely yours,
Arindam Biswas, M.D., India
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I just found out that I passed the Step 2CS Exam.

Dear Anna and Dr. Swartz,
I have just received the result. PASS!
Thank you for a great workshop. I really had no idea of what the exam is about and the workshop gave me the necessary information and most importantly, the confidence I needed to pass. The supportive environment in which the workshop is conducted in is very important as the learning and practicing don’t end with the completion of the workshop. I was able to practice with a few friends that I made there.
Once again, thank you!
Warm regards,

Dear Anna,
I hope you remember me. I participated in September workshop and took the CS exam on November 10th. Finally I received the results two days ago and… I PASSED!!!
I would like to thank you and Dr. Swartz for helping me prepare for the exam, as well as improving my clinical skills for my future carrier. Please let Dr Swartz know that I feel honored to have had the opportunity to learn under his supervision and benefit from his knowledge.
Ran Ben-Cnaan, M.D., Israel
Dear Dr. Swartz,
I took my exam early February 2008 after 10 years since graduating medical school.
Initially I studied myself using the online forums and First Aid, but as a last minute decision I signed up for the January course. I think the course is very important for passing the exam. It was an eye opener realizing what the real focus of the test is.
I was also lucky to continue practicing with a friend I met during the course, doing ALL cases from Dr. Swartz’s book. Both my partner and I felt this combination prepared us extremely well for the exam, and many of the scenarios were familiar for us. I highly recommend it. Good luck!!
Noga Harizman, M.D., Israel
Dear Dr. Mark Swartz, Anna Lank and the entire team of C3NY,
I just received my passing mark for the clinical skills exam :) !
I enjoyed your course tremendously and think it is a critical course that should be embedded in every medical teaching center curriculum. Your standardized patients were amazing. Although I received rigorous training and clinical experience in a variety of settings, I gained a lot from this course. I give your course my highest recommendation.
Thank you so much for your time, effort, and patience.
Yitzhak Rosen, M.D., Israel
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I am happy to let you know that I passed the exam.
I would like to emphasize that the first time I took the exam I studied only from a book that everyone recommended. I thought that my experience, as a Family physician, and the book will pass me easily. It did not. I failed very badly in the CIS part.
And then I took your course and realized how much I had no clue about this exam. Thanks to you, I passed the exam and I did outstanding in the CIS part.
I highly recommend to others to take the C3NY course and not to take chances. I also would like to mention that your Skype SPs were great, very professional and helpful.
Thank you again,
Fanni Ratzon, M.D., Israel
I just wanted to let you know that I passed the Step 2CS exam and to thank you very much for teaching me many good lessons about being a good doctor but also a good person!
Many of the lessons and tips I got from your workshop helped me pass the exam but more importantly, be a “listening”, compassionate and professional doctor!
Thank you very much! Shalom from Israel!
Yehonatan Weinberger
Hi Dr. Swartz,
I hope you remember me from your course back in December of 2007.
I’m writing you now to tell you that I passed the Step 2 CS exam. I really found out back in February…the reason I waited so long to write this e-mail though is a credit again to you. Not only did your course give me the confidence to pass the exam, I was subsequently able to enter the match. I was just placed today at Schneider Children’s Hospital for residency in pediatrics…my top choice.
I wanted to thank you for all your help and the confidence you instilled. You do a wonderful “chesed” (kindness) for people.
G. B., M.D., Israel
Dear Dr Swartz,
I have just got the results: I passed the Clinical Skills exam.
I wanted to thank you for that. Before taking your course, I did not really understand the true structure and purpose of this exam.
For me, this exam was more difficult than the other USMLE exams (Step 1 and Step 2 CK) as I am a trained Pathologist who works with tissues, microscopes and computers and does not deal with patients. I can therefore say, with full confidence, that I have passed this exam only and only due to your excellent training program.
Once again, Dr Swartz thank you so much for all your support, knowing you has been a great experience and an honor, to me!
Edmond Sabo, M.D., Israel
Dear Dr. Swartz,
You may remember me as the Israeli student in your June session. I wanted to thank you for teaching the C3NY course and for taking so much time and giving so much attention to all of us.
I am thrilled to write you that I passed the test and can now apply for a residency spot. As I mentioned to you, I will give the name of your course to our American program coordinator and recommend her to bring you to Tel Aviv. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart…
Michael Colin, M.D., Israel
Dear Anna Lank,
Finally, we have got the results! Rachel and I have passed the exam.
I am sure that without the C3NY course we wouldn’t have passed.
I would like to thank you and to thank Dr. Swartz for the very helpful course.
I recommend any IMG to take the C3NY course.
Thanks a lot,
Ronnie Cohen, M.D, Israel

Dear Dr. Swartz,
I hope you are doing well!
I would like to let you know that I passed the CS exam taken on December 15th 2012. I got the result just in a few minutes ago. I would like to very much appreciate for your workshop. for all your comments and suggestions you shared with me and for figuring me out to be able to pass this exam!
I will always remember you telling us: Listen to the patient; listen to the patient; the patient tells you what the next question should be! It worked!!!!
I will visit you in days ahead as well!

Dear Dr. Swartz ,
Thank you very much for all your assistance in your workshop which was a great help toward my passing result. I attended your workshop in July .
Your workshop was very productive time for me, and I felt much more confident after taking the class.
I am very happy that I had the opportunity to join your workshop, and I really recommend this class to all the other physicians who need to take CS exam.
I really appreciate all the advise, support, inspiration, and motivation that you gave us.
My especial thanks to Anna and other SPs because of their suggestions and comments.
Behnaz Sarlak, M.D., Iran

Hi Dr. Swartz and the C3NY team,
Thank you all so much.
I can say the workshop was wonderful; it decreased my fears about the exam. After my exam I was so exhausted. I think C3NY workshop helped me a lot and increased my confidence. I recommend it to everybody.
I am taking my Step2CK in the end of the month.
Sorour Rahgoshay, M.D., Iran
Dear Anna,
I got my outcome on April 27th. I passed the exam.
Thank you and Thank Dr. Swartz. Actually the course helped me a lot.
I really appreciate all your help.
Arash Ehteshami, M.D., Iran
Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,
I took your workshop in June 2005. I just received my exam result, and I passed.
Before the workshop, my self confidence to pass the exam was very low. The workshops were great. The good feedback from you, Anna and the Standardized Patients (SPs) were very helpful, even though I was only auditing Day 3.
I learned how to communicate properly with patients from your program. I would like to thank you and Anna for wonderful and effective workshops for Step 2CS.
Best Regards,
Shakiba Amini, M.D., Iran
